I look to John 2:15 for inspiration.

    • disqusW6sf

I’d like to ask Mr Archbishop of Canterbury if he really believes that Christ was a nambie pamby

It’s true, Jesus used violence to solve his problems, using a makeshift assault weapon, on at least one occasion.

      • k1962

        Who knew?

        • BillyHW

Nobody who went through 15 years of Catholic school education would know.

          • k1962

I had to ask my formerly Catholic husband who went to Catholic school. He knew 🙂

      • Clinton

Let’s not forget Luke 22:36, where Christ instructs his disciples
to arm themselves, to sell their cloaks and buy a sword if they
haven’t one. Keep in mind that back then, a sword was the
        most high-tech assault weapon available.

      Jesus was a refugee?
I’m sorry, I thought you said anger was an energy.

      • Drunk_by_Noon

You telling me that removing the moneychangers from the temple isn’t a high energy workout already?

        • Mickey Oberman

Despite the enormous fortunes stolen from many peoples for centuries and stockpiled in the Vatican and many other Christian churches and religious groups and edifices they and you, do not comprehend that the synagogues in ancient times were the centres of daily life and commerce and communication for a society that had no banks or telephones or internet.

Completely unlike today’s churches where baskets for handouts are passed around at the drop of a miter.

    • Mickey Oberman

I guess Jesus was the very first Christian to bring violence to the Jewish people.

      • Drunk_by_Noon

You Jews sure showed that Jesus character who was in charge, didn’t ya?
Still paying for that one too.

  • Exile1981

The upper clergy are really out of touch.

    • BillyHW

I think it’s high time our high churchmen stopped betraying us in the hands of our enemies.

  • infedel

No he was not. Everyone then had to go ‘back’ for a census.

    • He went there BEFORE the census was finished.

Strangely enough, Egypt protected an Israeli.

  • simus1

    Needs a title.
    Something like:
“You don’t have to be an idiot to get this great layabout job, but it doesn’t hurt.”

    • ntt1

he is definitely dressed for success within the Anglican church, this is what rampant sherry abuse brings

  • bob e

this guy looks like a guest at a st patricks day parade ..
chase out the snakes will ya please ..

  • Maggat

This clown could, if possible, do more damage to the Church of England than the last one, of Rowan and Martins’s Laugh-in fame.

    • David Murrell

Former Archbishop Rowna was a true liberal basket case, an embarrassment to all.

  • BillyHW

So Pope Francis isn’t the stupidest bishop in the world for one day.

  • Solo712

The truly faithful Christian thing for the church leader would be to go to Syria and Iraq and martyr himself for the sake of the gospel. But I guess there are cheaper ways to sell superior morality these days.

    • Alain

What I find worse is that by bringing them to the UK he endangers the lives of innocent British civilians. The government has ensured they cannot be armed and therefore defend themselves, so they are sitting ducks while this evil idiot remains safe.

    • The good bishop expresses the kind of soft Christianity that neither inspires nor gets anything done.

      • ntt1

that’s not soft Christianity it is hard left liberation theology and it will destroy the church but then maybe it is designed to do just that.

  • Yes, a refugee from people who wanted to kill Him.

There are people who don’t consider Israeli children who are victimised by Hamas to be refugees.

  • Frances

Would like to think he’s housing CHRISTIAN Syrians, but not holding my breath.

  • Martin B

How come this blind bastard was never so passionate about homeless British servicemen?

  • k1962

His outfit truly is silly. What a dork.

  • ntt1

what a complete twit . Thank God i have left that hopeless foundering church.

  • Mal

    The Incredible Mr. Limpwit.

  • Dave

“Blah blah blah. I like his silly outfit” I think it would look much better engulfed in gasoline fueled flames. F*cking morons.
As a side note, WTF is with retards with the name justin???

  • Hard Little Machine

From the high ground you can almost see Nazareth, Bethlehem and Jerusalem at the same time. I think you are confused what the word ‘refugee’ means.

  • Mickey Oberman

A refugee from whom, Mr. Archbishop?
If you answer “The Romans” as in Roman Catholic Church, the ancestor of the Anglican, Church of England, you may be right.
