Poll: Trudeau 11 points behind NDP in home riding of Papineau

Is Justin Trudeau in danger of losing in his home riding of Papineau in the Oct. 19 election?

Yes, according to a new poll commissioned by the New Democratic Party.

The CROP poll released Thursday shows NDP candidate Anne Lagacé Dowson, an award-winning former CBC/Radio-Canada journalist, leading the Liberal leader in voter intentions.

  • Letting Trudeau talk was actually the best thing one could do if one wanted him to fail.

    • He has been a valued ally.

    • Surele Surele

We can let him talk, but for some, unexplained reason, I just don’t have strong enough stomach to listen to him. And I do not try to be disrespectful; intelligent and coherent adversary is something I would look forward to (but be afraid of at the same time). Liberals have a gift of selecting strange travelers for their leaders.

It doesn’t matter since he’s already qualified for an MPs pension.

    • Nice work if you can get it.

      • andycanuck

And you can get it if you lie.

    • Clausewitz

They should take back all of those days when he wasn’t in Parliament but out whoring himself on the speaking tours. Charging 20 thousand dollars when he should have been at work has so easily been overlooked.

one idiot communist replacing another, meet the new schmuck, same as the old schmuck

  • That’ll be the day

Dowson also ran as the opposition EMSB candidate in the recent Montreal schoolboard elections. She got beaten handily. The NDP riding organizer resigned in protest of the irregularities in picking her as the local federal candidate. She is a leftie of the Raving Monster Loonie faction

    • And she still polls better than Justin!

      • DVult

I thought it was Rosario Dawson so was going to vote for her because she has nicer hair and is not named Justin Trudeau but now have to reassess the situation.

    • John

Yes exactly. The NDP broke all their own rules when they chose her as candidate. Yet she wants to bring transparency and honesty back into politics…The fact she’s an ‘award winning’ CBC journalist says it all.

  • David Murrell

Today (Friday September 18) the Globe and Mail had come close to endorsing Justin’s Liberals, in its ma in editorial. So Trudeau will do just fine. He as the big-money elites, like the Globe, behind him.

  • Maggat

    Here’s hoping.
