Elizabeth May Urges Harper and Mulcair To Attend Televised Debate

Green party Leader Elizabeth May is pleading with Stephen Harper and Tom Mulcair to reconsider their plans to skip the traditional televised leaders debate.

The prime minister has said he won’t take part in the English election debate organized by a consortium of broadcasters, but he will participate in a French one.

NDP leader Mulcair has made it clear he will not participate in any national debate without Harper.

Lizzie could proceed with just the Dauphin and treat us all to a real ‘dog and pony’ show. I’ll make the popcorn. You bring the beer.

I’ll bring the bucket, because if these two put on a barn dance, vomiting will ensue.

I just laughed like Eddie Pepitone on the Dana Gould Hour:

Thomas Mulcair made a tremendous tactical blunder, in backing out of this debate. All he had to do would be to show up, with only Harper absent, and the corrupt media cartel would have held the debate, showing an empty chair representing Harper. Such a scene would have finushed Harper. As it is now, the corrupt media consortium might cancel the wretched thing.

Harper backing out would have been the final thing killing the Conservatives. But for some bizarre reason Mulcair rescued Harper. Why is a real puzzle.

I’m wondering if Mulcair and Harper both knew the fix was in for the turdeau.

Pray tell how could anyone not have figured that out.
