Trudeau Will Have A Budget Plan Whenever

That doesn’t sound very precise but given that it’s from a guy who thinks budgets balance themselves, it’s not unexpected:

Trudeau said he wasn’t ready to commit to a no-deficit budget because more needed to be done to stimulate growth and help the middle class.

“We are focused on growing the economy and getting back into balance, but like I say, how long that will take will depend very much on Mr. Harper and the mess he’s left us behind, along with the global situation.”

And let’s not forget the “blaming Harper for everything” mode of attack.

Canada’s middle-class, by the way, happens to be the wealthiest in big nations.

Canada’s middle class wealth is partly due to the house bubble.
It will decline as interest rates rise back to historical norms.

    But Mike Duffy!

I was just telling my mom tonight that Canadian leftists have never had an original idea of their own—they just say the same as American leftists.

The subject was broached because I had just looked up on the Net the I.D. required to vote in the federal election because my mom doesn’t have a photo I.D. and I saw that under the section on “2 pieces of I.D. needed if you don’t have one photo I.D.” that the list was very extensive and was full of ordinary things—credit cards, bank-issued debit cards, even a prescription medicine bottle—and yet the left here has been going ape that the new voter I.D. laws will stop ordinary people from voting!!11!!! The same as U.S. leftists saying the same about photo I.D. requirements destroying the black and poor vote.

They don’t destroy the black and poor vote.
They just keep the vote fraudsters from stealing the black and poor vote.

Exactly, and I’ve seen reports that black voting has gone up in jurisdictions with photo I.D. requirements; that a good majority of blacks agree with it too; and there are welfare programmes (can’t think of which ones) used by blacks that require a photo I.D. to use; not to mention you need a photo I.D. to get into any Obama venue.

The ‘It’s Gold, Jerry! Gold!’ Quote:
‘Trudeau bristled against Harper’s fondness for austerity, saying now was not the time to “remove millions and billions of dollars from the Canadian economy.”’
Trudeau means that he believes it would be irresponsible to stop deficit financing.
But, he advocates removing millions and billions from the Canadian economy by taxing people and businesses.
    Which is it Justin?
You can’t have it both ways.

    • Clausewitz

What he means is that Canadians are too stupid to spend their own money, so he should be allowed to fleece us for billions and billions of dollars so that he can pay off his political cronies, because that’s what Liberals are born to do.

  • Jay Currie

Guys, look, Justin was promised that there would be no math questions. OK. So just stop it.

At least McGuinty waited until he was in office before lying about what a mess Harris left. Trudeau seems to be starting early, but to the left in this country that doesn’t matter, they will believe any bad thing Harper is accused of no matter if there is any evidence or not. Whether it is this election, the next, or 3 more down the line, expect the same treatment as Harris got where his name is dragged through the mud and any issue that comes up will be blamed on him for a couple decades to come.

I think this should be Trudeau’s theme/campaign song:

      It was a good chune.
And then she married Paul Simon.
      ’nuff said.

Yes, “help” the middle class. Like Obama does.
