JDL to picket Sherman-hosted Jewish fundraiser for Trudeau #elxn42

The Jewish Defence League (JDL) says it’s planning to picket a private fundraising event featuring Liberal party Leader Justin Trudeau and York Centre candidate Michael Levitt at the home of businessman and philanthropist Barry Sherman.

Barry Sherman, his Apotex drug manufacturing operations in India are currently under suspension from supplying to Canada. But this has nothing to do with Fund raising for the Airhead Justin.

Barry Sherman: His Apotex drug manufacturing operations in India are currently under suspension from supplying to Canada. But this has nothing to do with Fund raising for the Airhead Justin on the off chance he might be elected PM. Nothin to see here keep movin…

The Aug. 26 protest “is absolutely going to be peaceful” and participants hope to engage contributors to the Liberal party as they enter Sherman’s home, said JDL leader Meir Weinstein.

The JDL is protesting the Liberal party’s position on the Iran nuclear deal negotiated by the United States and other western countries, he said.

The Sherman family should have stuck to paint.

According to official Elections Canada records, Apotex, Inc. — which Barry Sherman owns — donated $500, on May 13, 2005, to the Etobicoke North federal Liberal Association. Lots of money to the right places, one would think.

David, he gave $50 million to UJA — he OWNS the CJN

      • David Murrell

Thanks for this. The UJA is required to post its finances on-line with the Canada Revenue Agency. I will check into them to see what’s what.

Off topic: I let my CJN subscription lapse about two or three years ago, just as a new, young editor was hired (after that brief time when the CJN was to be discontinued). Is the CJN a decent read, or is has it turned leftie (i.e, has it done a Jonathan Kay)?

          Before I forget, here”s Sherman’s Wiki page:

Secondly, Goldstein does what his paymasters tell him to do. Plagiarists don’t do much original thinking.
Thirdly, Kay was Goldstein’s boss when both worked for the Post.

            Thanks for this.

Btw: it will be interesting to see whether or not Justin, when he becomes prime minister this coming November, does some sort of sweetheart deal with Apotex, as a kickback for Mr. Sherman’s fundraising.

Let’s hope that Health Canada is sufficiently immune from prime ministerial influence of any stripe.

I would be more concerned with the union/NDP penetration of Health Canada.

By the way, I checked the IJA Toronto CRA filings, and they are fairly badly done. Lots of missing information, do contact info where there should be, that sort of thing. I also checked the UJA-Toronto web site, and it is fairly badly organized: no annual reports, no info as to staff, directors. A fairly shady operation, if you ask me. Is it worth putting in a complaint to the CRA?

Its always worth putting in a complaint to the CRA

…at the home of profiteer and Quisling Barry Sherman.

There, I fixed it for you.

Sheesh. I’ve been saving the best for last:

First of all here’s a little bit of background on how Barry acquired his company:

So, did he ever do right by his cousins?

And as I was rechecking everything (I did my research when the story first broke a few days ago. Thank you Meir. This popped up. Leslie Dan just happens to be Bernie Farber’s boss:
