Translator who was ‘denied refuge in Britain’ executed in Afghanistan

An Afghan military interpreter who was denied refuge by the UK has been executed after a failed attempt to flee the Taliban, according to reports.

“Popal”, as he was known to the British soldiers who served with him, was tortured and murdered after he was captured in Iran, it was claimed.

But welcome in England? Muslims who contribute nothing and demand everything.

Agree. This is one man who should have been allowed entry. Reminds me of the James Bond movie (?Goldeneye) where the British handing back White Russians to the Soviets is a motivating factor. As I remember, Bond says “not our finest hour.”

Just when you think your opinion of the Brits couldn’t get any lower.

Unless Popal’s default settings were serious criminal tendencies, his betrayal was not atypical of some senior military officer/bureaucrat/police mindsets who are often less concerned about what sleaze they know about informers and collaborators than the opposite.

I`m sure they`ll accept those who tortured and killed him.

It’s hard to fight an insurgency when you allow your “friends” to be killed.

Bureaucrats can’t do anything right. They’ll let in every manner of vile fiend and escort them to the welfare line, but for the law-abiding decent person there is only a closed door.
