ISIS sniper

ISIS is as strong as ever in Syria & it could take a DECADE to drive them out of strongholds, claims CIA

A year-long bombing campaign in Syria has had virtually no impact on ISIS numbers, which remain consistently between 20,000 and 30,000, according to the CIA.

The U.S. agency claims the bombings, which have cost billions, have prevented the collapse of Iraq, but the organisation is fundamentally no weaker than it was before.

It’s believed more than 10,000 people have been killed but the organisation is able to constantly replenish its ranks with foreign fighters.

It all depends on the rules of engagement we impose on ourselves. If we are going to play patty cake with them because we are afraid of causing civilian casualties, it will take longer. If we make destroying them our highest priority despite any noncombatants who may be in the way, we could finish them off in weeks. Unfortunately, it’s been 70 years since our leaders knew what a victory is.

It would indeed take only weeks, with 100 A-10 plains and a couple of 100 spotters on the ground.

  • DD_Austin

It’s not really all bad news, if it’s sucking muslims out of the west
and emptying arab bank accounts as fast as it drains ours

“but the organisation is able to constantly replenish its ranks with foreign fighters.”

      Rope a dope.

  • chayisun

Crap, why not just a continuous campaign of carpet bombing? Throw in napalm bombing and just see how long these thugs last. Of course the world would be aghast but everyone would forget after it’s all over. Roasted isis on a stick.

    • Ed

Easy now! They’ll stop going there if hopelessly decisive force is used.

What about all those 3rd world gunsmithing, ammo and ration
manufacturer’s pocket books, not mention their 1st world owners?

Chinese unemployment will surely rise as well as human smugglers will lose their return trip ammunition cargos, how are they going to pay off the Clintons on only human smuggling?

What happens to all the dead beat muslim government terrorism advisors paychecks, and more importantly the managers that depend on “managing” them?

A lot of rich people are depending on this war going on, and on,
        and on.

So get out there and lose one for the grifter ..err… gipper

      • chayisun

I’m sorry. I get angry every once in awhile. I mean, I try not to get so, well, upset but my inner demons somehow cause me to get angry…..Why just the other day I gave a muslim guy on the bus a dirty look! I know, I know it was uncalled for but it made me feel better.

Snipers usually don’t stick the rifle muzzle near the gun port, so’s the Red Team doesn’t see the flash, the puff of smoke, or the dust kicked up, which reveals your position…

    • DD_Austin

Tin roof, sloppy fresh clement, muslim moron, ah the middle east

It is a cinder block bunker, I wonder what caliber he’s using
they tend to be using light stuff

I’m thinking a heavier caliber would nail him in his nest right though
the walls, right thought those vests as well.

It may mean the return of the rifle

    • canminuteman

Yeah, they’re not exactly known for their professionalism.

  • WalterBannon

Until Dresden style carpet bombing takes place, what we have is pure kabuki theatre.
