The Terror We Couldn’t Stop

On Friday, the families of four American Marines awoke to a world without their loved ones. They had their lives stolen from them by a gunman, 24-year-old Mohammad Youssef Abdulazeez, who stormed a recruiting station and opened fire on the unarmed service personnel. American officials have advised the public not to rush to conclusions about the attacker’s motives.

That’s good advice, but we shouldn’t subordinate common sense to a political ideal.

Excuses have already started . He was a “normal child” attended the local mosque but “somehow” became radicalized. Won’t call it terrorism.

“From CNN….U.S. Attorney Bill Killian said the shootings are being investigated as an “act of domestic terrorism,” but he noted the incident has not yet been classified as terrorism.

Reinhold said there is nothing to connect the attacker to ISIS or other international terror groups. Abdulazeez was not on any U.S. databases of suspected terrorists.

He was not known to have been in trouble with the law except for a DUI arrest in April. He apparently was not active on social media –”

    His father is shocked…..

“The president of the Islamic Society of Greater Chattanooga told WDEF that Abdulazeez’s father called him after the shooting.

“He was in the dark on what his son has done, he’s very devastated,” Bassam Issa said. The father “actually apologized for what his son did to the community at large and to the Muslim community and I told him we all feel distraught, we all feel shocked.”

Oh, and the muslim community, I assume, will be in “we aren’t to blame mode”…..

Obama is already whimpering about “unfortunate circumstances.”

Yes all the media is celebrating the end of ramadan ding dong. The Star has heart warming pictures on a full page showing how the religion of hate celebrates all over the world. And of course another story on the new mosque up north. Why its just like our Christmas, if you ignore the killings, rapes, bombings, beheadings, slavery, persecution of other religions, hatred of women, child abuse, and general mayhem. But other than those things, its just like our Christmas. And it was heart warming to see the extensive coverage of muslims at the mosque offer sympathies to the murdered soldiers.

You don’t have to jump to conclusions in this case because the conclusion just jumps right out at you. This is such an open-and-shut case of Islamic-motivated terrorism that it’s taking the ‘authorities’ longer than usual to cook up a lie. Calling it domestic terror conjures up images of a redneck veteran waving a confederate flag, which of course is the desired outcome. They’re dragging their feet hoping that some fresh atrocity, such as Donald Trump saying something outrageous, pushes this story out of the news.

Yes, but CBC News this morning (Saturday morning, July 18) was quick to point tout that Muslims attended the interfaith memorial service in Tennessee, and that the local Islamic centre there canceled Eid celebrations out of respected for the victims. So we can all breathe easier in gratitude to these gestures.

Andrea Mitchell on MSNBC declared ‘he’s just another southern redneck gun nut’.

  • If 9/11 happened today, with thousands dead, “the authorities” – and Obama especially – and the media would all rush to assert that this has nothing to do with Islam. This has become their knee-jerk reaction, because to admit the truth would mean a collapse of all the lie-based structure about Islam they have been erecting for the last thirty years.
