Greece votes to stay in the euro

I have no idea why this even matters.

By all accounts the Greek debt is unsustainable despite accepting all of the dictated austerity measures.

Neither the Greeks or the EU merit our sympathy.

She threw ashtrays and vases and threatened to leave. She cursed and cried and screeched like a banshee. But in the end she stuck with sugar daddy and promised to be good. LOL.

If Greece takes down the EU, it will have done the world a favor.

Such callousness takes my breath away.

Check out this article by Peter Morici that gives some perspective on the Euro. The weaker economies of the south (or fringe) were doomed when they joined. The Euro is valued way too high for their economies, killing their exports and their tourist industry. But the weaker, smaller economies of the south keep the Euro down, which favours Germany’s exports — and as well Germany has a captive market for all her exports

BTW, Germany is LENDING to Greece. Alberta and Ontario have been GIVING huge influx of cash to Quebec, Newfoundland, etc. for decades. Now that Ontario is have-not, Alberta is GIVING us money too. Just imagine if we had to pay it all back.

The equalization scam is just that a way to steal from well run provinces to reward poorly run ones.

  • Leftists will continue to spend other people’s money until the other people quit giving them money.

The Greeks are a good at begging.

The EU does not know how to say no. Yet!

An interesting talk with VDH about the current crisis. He is an expert in both ancient and modern Greek thinking:
