VDH: Is the World Becoming Fed Up?

“…As in the case of Paula Deen, Duck Dynasty, and the addled Donald Sterling, the nation unleashed its thought police to destroy Trump in the fashion that has worked so well with other intemperate or biased speakers (at least those who are not of the liberal bent of politically incorrect gaffers like a Sen. Harry Reid, Vice President Joe Biden, Al Sharpton, David Letterman — or Barack Obama, who believes “typical” white people (all 220 million?) stereotype blacks while there are apparently “gangbangers” crossing illegally into the U.S. on his watch).  But so far, the politically selective yanked sponsorships and corporate ostracism seem to have little effect on the self-promoting and boisterous multibillionaire Trump. Why so? Perhaps the cause is again public exhaustion with hypocrisy. NBC, after all, still has on the air an inveterate prevaricator like Brian Williams and a homophobe, racist, and anti-Semite like Al Sharptonafter publication of their respective make-believe stories and various hate speech.”

Like every other time in my life there has been any kind of pushback, it will likely be gaining back inches when we have allowed them to take several feet. What is considered the middle ground now was way left of centre 20 years ago. I don’t know what it should be, but the right needs to stop putting all of its energy into the little skirmishes and start focusing on a long-term game plan.

    • You have to live as if the revolution already happened.

Like we do on this blog;)

  • Clinton

Compare and contrast the so-called “journalists” we have in Brian Williams
and Al Sharpton with the real journalists in the article above, executed by
ISIS in Raqqua. That Williams and Sharpton are still employed proves that
so-called “journalism” in this country has devolved into narrative-shaping and
entertainment/distraction. Integrity is an impediment in today’s news industry,
which is why Williams and Sharpton are successful.

Anyone who still pays attention to the pseudo-news outlets like NBC and the
New York Times with the expectation of getting actual journalism and
not propaganda deserves the manipulation they receive.

    • Journalism is a joke, while good practitioners exist overall it has failed miserably.

      • Clinton

There are good practitioners out there– but I do wish that
they’d do more to call out the decadence in their profession.
        Instead, we hear crickets.

        • Drunk_by_Noon

There might be “good journalists” out there, but they still dream of a job at the NY Times or the networks, and so they will never say a word.

    • Norman_In_New_York

Why do you think I come here so frequently?

      • Clinton

Oh, absolutely, Norman– that’s why I come here too.

That said, sites like this are fantastic for collecting and broadcasting stories
from various other sources, but Blazingcatfur doesn’t have the deep
pockets it takes to fund its own investigative reporters and keep up bureaus
abroad. Those are things that only the big media outlets can afford, and
those outlets have almost entirely gone over to the dark side. Here in the
USA most of the major print and broadcast media are now owned by just a
half dozen corporations– and so deciding what is “all the news that’s fit
to print” has become that much easier for our rulers…

  • I’m fed up with the wacko liberals.

It is long overdue for a push back.

  • MRHapla

    A reckoning is coming,,,,,,,,,,,

In my life I just tend to ignore Progressive assholes. Drives them nuts.
