Marching Band

My Favorite Marcher

There was a march yesterday in Toronto which protested, well, pretty much everything (with the exception, perhaps, of trans-fats and carnivorism). It was called the “March for Jobs, Justice and the Climate,” and it attracted a wide array of the pissed off and the disgruntled, including aging activist/Oscar-winning actress Jane Fonda.

Acid Test: If Jane Fonda was present at the event, the event is not newsworthy.

    • It is if it’s the Jane Fonda of Barbarella magically transported to this time period.

Or Cat Ballou. Wide open spaces and all that.

Actually, she was better in “Cat Ballou,” but that was before she dirtied herself with political crap.

And if you liked that, this is what she looks like these days with lots of makeup after many plastic surgeries

She was physically pretty, but lacking in brains and a moral center.

Like a beautiful wildflower that blooms for a few days in the spring, and the rest of the year it’s a thorny horrid weed that is the bane of everyone who encounters it.

Every media outlet kept saying how diverse the crowd was. What diverse people? They were all old has been leftists whether Jane Fonda, Judy Rebick, Naomi klein or the whiny indian with them. And does UNIFOR’s members in the oil and pipeline industries know that their union is advocating the stop of oil and pipeline expansion.
