Scotland Yard creates elite SAS-style unit of armed police to respond to Mumbai-style Islamic Diversity

The Met Police has assembled a new squad of armed officers to deal with a Mumbai-style terror attack on London.

The unit of 130 officers are believed to have been training with special forces in how to break up a terrorist siege or tackle an attack by a ‘marauding gunman’ like that in Tunisia last week.

It is understood the police are keen to be able to respond quickly to any such threat without having to immediately call in the army or SAS.

  • Too little too late.

Why do I get the feeling that in the end these new troops will just be used against white British Nationals who disagree with government policies??

I thought that was The Sweeney (Todd, Flying Squad)?

I wonder if they have considered giving ammo to the ceremonial guards? There is whole battalion of armed troops based right in down town London. Only a few are on ceremonial duty at any given time.

Have they started to figure out yet that just maybe diversity is not strength?

But what would they do if an “Asian” restaurant was attacked? Now that would be a dicey one.

    • They would turn their guns on themselves in a show of diversity.

This turf war is wrong headed. The skill set of police and military is different. All it does is add more delay while they dither about whether to hand over the job to the military.

  • Seems they might be better off just closing all the mosques and arresting all the mullahs.
