“Committing crimes is actually part of Greenpeace’s business plan”

Greenpeace has been kicked out of India, where they’re been trying to halt the use of so-called “golden rice,” a GM food designed to help feed the country’s millions of hungry people.

Has it occurred to anyone that the new environmentalists look an awefull lot like the old Nazis?
They both want to kill millions of people for an ill defined reason, and yet they think they are doing the planet a favor in the bargain.

500 million people died of malaria after banning DDT.

      • Drunk_by_Noon

Yeah, but think of how many mosquitos were saved!

      • john700

Can you imagine how many of those would be in Libya now waiting to cross into Italy?

    • Norman_In_New_York

Ever since Al Gore tried to steamroller us with global warming, I have referred to them as envirofascists.

      • Alain

I call them eco-fascists, which is much the same.

        • Clausewitz

Eco Weinies is the term I use the most.

          • wallyj180

            I call them the eco-elites.

    • WalterBannon

      They are nazis

  • tom_billesley

Food for starving Indians is Oxfam’s business, not Greenpeace’s.
    They’re complementary.
Third worlders must be kept in thrall to western NGO’s.

    • wallyj180

      Oxfam is Chomsky’s favourite NGO.
It has nothing to do with the fact that his daughter makes a very good salary from them, nothing at all.

    Sod off, swampy!

  • UCSPanther

I would love nothing more than to see some Greenpeacers get attacked by a group of angry farmers and farmhands a la those environmentalists in the Elaho Valley some years back…

    • Brett_McS

Some animal rights protesters chained themselves to an abattoir fence in Oz (Queensland) a few years ago. The abattoir workers came at them with angle grinders to cut the chains, scarring the life out of the precious snowflakes to the extent that they called for the police to protect them (the activists).

      • mobuyus

They don’t know how to behave around hard working people.

      • UCSPanther

There are also stories of treesitters getting attacked by angry loggers as well. In one incident in BC some years back, one was scared out of a tree when the harvester started going after his grove and swinging trees in his direction, and when he tried to run for it, the ground crew jumped him and beat the stuffing out of him.

Never get between people and their livelihoods…

    • WalterBannon

I think muslim beheading them would be fine

  • mobuyus

Bunch of self important preening socialist schmucks riding Western Privilege to hector and nag busy people.

  • Frances

I think the “golden rice” has been engineered to provide some Vitamin A. This would save the eyesight of a lot of people.

    • Alain

Profit was more the motivation behind the engineering, and whether or not it does what they claim I do not know. Still people have the right to decide for themselves if they want it or not; not a bunch of foreign eco-fascists determined to impose their own agenda. By the way these eco-fascist organisations are also motivated by profit.

This is a part of the wiki page on golden rice.

Potrykus has enabled golden rice to be distributed free to subsistence farmers.[46] Free licenses for developing countries were granted quickly due to the positive publicity that golden rice received, particularly in Time magazine in July 2000. [47]Monsanto Company was one of the first companies to grant free licences.[48]

The cutoff between humanitarian and commercial use was set at US$10,000. Therefore, as long as a farmer or subsequent user of golden rice genetics does not make more than $10,000 per year, no royalties need to be paid. In addition, farmers are permitted to keep and replant seed.[49]
