Those kids were askin for it…

Airport security guards confiscate children’s board game because it features a black round ticking plastic ‘bomb’

Bomb game

  • You know, I think sometimes you can be too careful.

  • Mal

That’s disgraceful. £19.99 for the game and it doesn’t include a keffiyeh, a hijab or even a quran on CD?

    • just a thought

LOL – Yeah, but it’s got the most critical component, the BOMB! Still, without the accessories, it just doesn’t ‘feel’ right.

      • Mal

In the meantime watch sales on this thing skyrocket. The game manufacturer owes this woman a pile of cash – if it didn’t already pay her handsomely before the event, IYKWIM.

        • just a thought

Interesting. If that was an advertising gimmick, it was sheer genius! I wonder if there’ll be any bandwagon effect. Stay tuned.

Maybe if they were white it would not have happened, but then again airport security are not the sharpest knives in the box so who knows, thick and racist or just plain annoying.

You should read some of the comments. Some people actually are so stupid as to think that this plastic toy could actually be made into a bomb ESPECIALLY AFTER IT HAD BEEN X-RAYED AND SEEN TO BE JUST WHAT IT WAS, A PLASTIC TOY. People are complete morons.

to qualify for airport security you only need a pulse.

and to be a visible minority

In fairness having something like that on a plane could be used to create panic, and while I doubt that those kids had any intention of doing that you have to wonder if perhaps they were being used to test the idea of getting it by security.

add it to the list of moronic judgement calls by uneducated cheap security labour. I have direct examples of a cigarette lighter that was a i/2 scale deringer. a pencil sharpener (sharp blades) and a tiny cap pistol key chain ornament.Meanwhile niquab wearers get a walk past .

      That is just their routine.

  • glasnost

I’m not sure who’s dumber, the security guards or the mother who doesn’t realize how dumb the guards can be.

It’s been a while since there was a musical interlude.
