NYC Muslims shocked when they were forced to obey the law

Devout New York City Muslim cabbies got a rude awakening when they got tickets for double-parking outside a Manhattan mosque while they were inside saying Friday prayers for Ramadan.

One officer single-handedly placed nearly 100 tickets on cabs parked in the vicinity of the Islamic Cultural Center in the city’s Upper West Side neighborhood, cab driver Mohammad Zaman told the New York Post.

“This is a special prayer time, a time for religion. We double-park here every Friday and they [allow it], but today they gave us all tickets, almost 100 cabs,’’ he said.

Zaman, who has been a worshiper at the mosque for nine years, was ticketed, and it wasn’t cheap: $115 for double-parking.

This has never happened before,’’

All those doctors and lawyers with degrees nobody will recognize… the cream of the crop… and they can’t observe basic parking rules.

    • They don’t recognize kuffar law.

      • Surele Surele

True. And it proves that once you give in, for whatever reason, it becomes the norm and a privilege not easily reversed.

  • simus1

No doubt some rogue elements within the NYPD are trying to foment tension between NY’s communist mayor and his devoted muslim supporters.

  • ontario john

Oh my God, muslims have to follow the law? The media will be outraged. Expect a major story on the……Catholic Church.

    • You bet it was clearly a greater outrage than the Tunisia massacre.

  • chayisun

Should have towed the cars away. Dumped them in the east river. Screw them. Bunch of thugs and violent trash. And they smell, too.

  • Ron MacDonald

There was nothing preventing them from going to the mosque before or after work, that’s what most devout Christians or Jews do.

    • Yup I hope the cops keep it up.

      • Waffle

One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.

      • WalterBannon

The political boss is speaking to this officer right now, it will not happen again

  • Xavier

    “This has never happened before”

Wilhelm will make sure it never happens again, either.

  • chayisun

“This has never happened before,’’ he told the Post.

“I can’t help but to think they are being prejudiced. They don’t understand. We have to be here.”

Typical. Hide behind their cult. Bring out the “prejudiced” tag. Getting so sick of these animals thinking they are above the law. They don’t want to follow the laws of the land then go back to whatever toilet bowl they arrived from….Oh, and “they” have to be there…at the mosque, otherwise known as a recruiting centre for terrorists….to pray to a child molesting thug or allah, pick your poison.

So sad that their cars are still usable.

  • Xavier

“It is mandatory in our religion to _________. It’s our duty.”

    a. throw homosexuals from the roof.
    b. perform clitorectimies on young girls.
    c. subjugate women
    d. kill and enslave the kaffir.

    And U.S. law will accede.

  • Hard Little Machine

Mao Tse Blasio will tell the administrative judges to void all the citations.

    • John

Yeah, he probably will! Loud-mouthed Linda Sarsour has only to say the word and her will shall be done.

  • Maurixio Garcia Sanchez

They forgot that they are living in the West not Saudi Arabia or Jordan etc.

    • Alain

I don’t think they forgot. For them it is imperative that non Muslims every where understand the requirement to submit to Islam.

  • Mickey Oberman

    “This has never happened before.”
Well then it is time those cabbies were penalized for breaking the law.
It is a precedent that, hopefully, will be religiously carried on.
    Get used to it, fellows.

    • DVult

Also fine the mosque for having insufficient parking.

  • MicahGunn

You think if hundreds of Catholic cabbies parked on 5th Avenue outside St. Patrick’s Cathedral they wouldn’t get ticketed.

  • Chatillon

Who would’ve thunk it! The counter-jihad in New York has been launched with parking tickets.

    • Mickey Oberman

Any start is a good start.

  • cmh

and you can bet on this….it will never happen again, the officer will be fired, demoted, or disciplined, and the tickets will be dismissed

  • Xavier

Another opportunity for der kaiser to lambast the police and promote creeping sharia! Tickets will be forgiven on Monday, once the media can give it proper attention, and the police will be privately instructed to never do this again. It wouldn’t surprise me to see the city donate a parking lot to the mosque specifically for the taxis – no kaffir allowed.

    • tom_billesley

There’s obviously a shortage of parking spaces in the area. Demolish the mosque and level the site for a parking lot.

      • Mickey Oberman

        Great idea,
        Creative thinking at its finest.

      • chayisun

Well, it this happened in China…….

  • tom_billesley

Is there not a retail park nearby?

Parking restrictions at Maybury car park is ‘victimising’ people attending Friday prayers at the Shah Jahan Mosque according to leading figures in the Muslim community.
Some have received tickets after the cameras of enforcement company ParkingEye caught them out, resulting in an £85 fine.
Shahid Azeem, chairman of Woking Asian Business Forum, said: “One hour isn’t enough for a Muslim at Friday prayers.
“I just feel that this is victimising people. There is no other reason why they would do this.”

    • Rosenmops

      >One hour isn’t enough for a Muslim at Friday prayers.

Better move back to Pakistan. They let you park your camel for free there.

      • DVult

How can you pray for longer than about 5 minutes let alone an hour? Maybe this includes the mandatory firearms training and the 15 minutes of hate the infidel chanting.

    • Mickey Oberman

Endangering people and cyclists and motorist for one second is dangerous and should never be tolerated.
What kind of religious leader of what kind of cult would espouse such a criminal act?

  • DVult

Why are all these people being imported to drive taxis? Does anyone think young unaccompanied women are safe in their cabs?

  • moraywatson

How can attending the mosque on Friday be a “required duty” if there is no compulsion in religion ? Just kidding…/snark off.

  • barryjr

Some over zealous cop just through his career down the drain. I can see mandatory sensitivity training with all officers required to attend prayer services at the local mosque so they can better understand the “problems” misogynistic pedophile worshipers have trying to pray to their idol.

  • Maggat

Called rule of law, pal. To bad the law didn’t call for being tossed off the Empire State Building for double parking. That would definitely clean up this problem, one way or another.

  • Norman_In_New_York

In response, one hopes the imams will ask Saudi Arabia to finance construction of a garage.

  • “This is our special prayer time. We break the law every Friday and nothing ever happened before.” WOW. The supremacy.

  • DMB

“And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. Mathew 6:5-8

  • Mickey Oberman

This is a symptom of a disease that is prevalent among, primarily, Islamic immigrants.
It appears to be genetic and contagious – the desire to break the law. Any law.
The feeling that they are immune.
There is no cure. Like carriers of any contagious disease they should be quarantined from the general population ad infinitum or until a miraculous cure is discovered.
