‘Religion of peace’ is not a harmless platitude

The West’s movement towards the truth is remarkably slow. We drag ourselves towards it painfully, inch by inch, after each bloody Islamist assault.

In France, Britain, Germany, America and nearly every other country in the world it remains government policy to say that any and all attacks carried out in the name of Mohammed have ‘nothing to do with Islam’. It was said by George W. Bush after 9/11, Tony Blair after 7/7 and Tony Abbott after the Sydney attack last month. It is what David Cameron said after two British extremists cut off the head of Drummer Lee Rigby in London, when ‘Jihadi John’ cut off the head of aid worker Alan Henning in the ‘Islamic State’ and when Islamic extremists attacked a Kenyan mall, separated the Muslims from the Christians and shot the latter in the head. It is what President François Hollande said after the massacre of journalists and Jews in Paris. And it is what David Cameron said yesterday after 38 people, mainly British, were murdered on a beach in Tunisia and a man was beheaded in France.

2 days on and the sousse cover up begins , 3 attackers now down to one , 37 shot dead ,yet Kalashnikov magazine capacity 30 rounds witness says gunman did not reload , witness attack also from front of hotel 2 more men shooting and throwing grenades ??????? ” it isn`t islamophobia when they realy are trying to kill you “

  • I am with Ann Coulter on this. We should kill their jihadists and then convert the rest of them to Christianity.

That would necessitate the revival of the Spanish Inquisition.

        Well… I’ll make that trade!

        • dance…dancetotheradio

          Me, too.
The English have a disdain for the Spanish.
I’ve come to realize over the years that they may have been misunderstood.

‘Religion of peace’ is not a harmless platitude.
    It’s not even true.

    • Islam is a monster murder cult. Vile supremacism dressed up as religion.

  • Norman_In_New_York

The mentality of these politicians is the same described by Danny Kaye.

:Enough already with the moronic clichés and the commonplace banalities and the old chestnuts and the inane bromides and the banal stock phrases

    He’s right, it’s not a harmless platitude, it’s propaganda.

Murray says “No religion is, (free of violence) but Islam is especially not.”The writer of this article Murray who I respect also falls for the bullshit idea that we should all be moderate in our criticism of Islam . He lumps peaceful religions like Buddhism and Jainism and Sikhism together with Islam . Also Christianity and Hinduism are not at war with other religions. His attempt to sound fair is a silly stunt and it shows his fear of being called racist! Until we say Islam, all Islam and all Muslims are scum or we can be more polite and say is a cult nothing will change. Islam and its people are a cancer so why do so called intellectuals insist on defending any part of it. Nazism would never be defending like this – the moderate nazi argument. Enough intellectuals with the bullshit that there are good Muslims . If you are Muslim you want us dead. They want gays such as the writer dead. A good Muslim is no longer a Muslim but a Christian or whatever. Any Muslim should be deported immediately to a desert land where they can enjoy sharia and camels, rape and stone their women and kill their children. We do not want this crap here!
And Mr Murray don’t be afraid to call Muslims what they are because your cute nice Muslims will be happy to throw you off a building when their numbers increase .

Though I agree with you that he was being a bit (or perhaps more than a bit) wimpy and maybe disingenuous it probably was about as direct as he could be – if he wishes to keep his job. That is the simple – but sad – reality.

    • Blacksmith

A moderate muslim wants someone else to behead you.

  • Maurixio Garcia Sanchez

I think people from West already know what could happen if you visit a Muslim country, before you travel over there, think 10 times not only once .

    • David

    • I would need good reason to visit one. They are backwards hell holes for the most part.

Not withstanding all the slander against Stephen Harper, I have yet to hear him ever say that the death cult is “the religion of peace.”

    • dance…dancetotheradio

      Neither have I.

  • pdxnag

Treasonous obfuscation intended to facilitate the continued injection of known seditious Muslims by the thousands.
