Engage Canada lies about Harper’s health care “cuts”

In 2004, Paul Martin brought in a $41-billion dollar health accord, which promised 6% annual increases to Federal health care transfers to the provinces for the next 10 years.

One day the MSM will pay for its perfidy. I think they will have a special place in the 9th circle of hell.

Lord but I do hope so and only hope I can still be around to witness it.

    Do the math.
    Paul Martin was no saviour.
$41 billion divided by thirty five million people equals $1,171 per person.
Over ten years that’s $117 per person per year.

Our free health care subsidizes many moral hazards.
I pay sin taxes for cigarettes and alcohol.
So, I consider them exempt since I already pay to play for those activities.
And from here, I will be using the same argument that the left has been throwing at me for years to justify those sin taxes.
There are many healthy activities that are not pay to play.
Those who play sports should have to have insurance for their injuries.
Those who are overweight and suffer illnesses like diabetes and gout should have to pay a food tax.
Those who engage in unprotected sex should have to pay a premium when they seek treatment for venereal diseases.
Those who travel to third world shit holes and acquire some odd tropical disease should have to pay more for their treatment.
Ditto, for anyone who suffers injuries related to capture, detention or torture in those same shit holes.
Anyone engaging in any activity in which the risk of illness or injury can be identified and quantified should have to pay for that risk.
