U.S. plans to store heavy arms in Baltic, Eastern Europe – source

The United States plans to store heavy military equipment in the Baltics and Eastern European nations to reassure allies unnerved by Russia’s intervention in Ukraine and to deter further aggression, U.S. officials said.

The move would be the first time Washington has stationed heavy military equipment in the newer NATO member states that were once in the Soviet sphere of influence or – in the case of the three Baltic republics – part of the Soviet Union.

Though no final decision has been taken, the Pentagon is poised to store battle tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and other heavy weapons for as many as 5,000 troops, one U.S. official told Reuters on condition of anonymity.

They better not be paying for warehouse space.

    • I bet he’s payin Putin.

      • dance…dancetotheradio

Then it’s just another example of European NATO countries not paying their fair share for their own defense.

      • Zaba

        Local delivery for Putin?

  • Dana Garcia

As if BHO would fire weapons at Putin.

    • That ain’t gonna happen.

    • I remember the last time he drew a red line, lolz!

    • dance…dancetotheradio

He might fire a wad at him.

      • Clausewitz

Naw, he saves those for Reggie.

    But it worked in Iraq!

This kind of provocation is what really gets vlad Putin ripping off his shirt in a rage.

    • Norman_In_New_York

Oh, come on. Vlad knows Obama to be the mushy spined, mealy mouthed loser he is.

    • Alain

It is provocation. Funny how a fake poll found Obama supporters wanted him to bomb Russia with nuclear weapons, and yet the claim is that “hawks” only exist on the right. Of course getting a serious conflict going on there will distract the majority of Americans allowing the Muslim and foreign invasion of the US to continue full steam.

      • dance…dancetotheradio

        Obama supporters just want to:

I had forgotten how truly weird that kidd was, is he still alive?

          • dance…dancetotheradio

            Have to ask my kids.

      • Yes, Obama’s main focus is on continuing the invasion of the West by Muslims. A war with Russia would provide a handy distraction, and would nicely weaken the West too.

      Putin is not the Hulk.

      • Alain

I agree. It really doesn’t matter who is in his position when it comes to threatening Russia. Russians have been spared the indoctrination of self-hatred and hating their country and culture that is so prevalent in the West. Actually this disease only exists in the West, for you do not find it in Asia or elsewhere either.

        • dance…dancetotheradio

One thing you have to admire about the Russians is that they don’t take crap when there’s a hostage crisis.
          That school?
They went right in there and shot the place up.
All the ‘hostage takers’ died and they got most of the kids out.

          • Alain

I think that again it is only the West that lacks the will to do what is necessary, which is the result of all the PC crap. Consider what happens to any law enforcement person who dares shoot and kill a black thug caught red-handed. We have seen much the same thing here in Canada. Unless the West can rid itself of all the cultural marxist crap, I fear we are doomed.

          • Sorry to be nit-picky, but it’s not the job of the police, no matter how daring they’re feeling, to execute people even when they catch them “red-handed”. It’s legitimate for them (as it should be for anybody) to kill if necessary in self defense.

          • dance…dancetotheradio

The irony is that the Russians suffered through nearly seventy five years of Marxist crap and they have a stronger response to adversity than those who haven’t.

      • ntt1

then why is he always shown with out shirt?

        • dance…dancetotheradio

          He hasn’t gone green.

  • Obama may well yet set Europe on fire just as he did the Middle East. A bigger dunce you could not find if you went out searching for one – and yet this evil, stupid man was given the most sensitive and powerful job in the world on a platter. It makes you wonder. Putin rightly judged Obama to be a vainglorious moron the moment he set foot in the White House, and has since then behaved accordingly. Putin is not to blame for taking the opportunities given – the culprit for all trouble in Eastern Europe right now is Obama. There may yet be a Europe-Russia war thanks to Obama’s total incompetence at foreign affairs. Remember his legacy with regard to North Korea, Iran, the Arab-Israel conflict, Nigeria, and many other hot spots. For this utter confusion he was awarded – in advance – a Nobel Peace Prize, which goes to show (if showing was still needed) what morons the Nobel committee is made up of. God help us.
