Russia, China Decrypt Snowden Files

Russia and China have allegedly decrypted the top-secret cache of files stolen by whistleblower Edward Snowden, according to a report from The Sunday Times, to be published tomorrow. The info has compelled British intelligence agency MI6 to withdraw some of its agents from active operations and other Western intelligence agencies are now actively involved in rescue operations.

Along with Aldrich Ames, a true hero for our times.
    Long may he swing …

Bradley Chelsea Manning is more of a man than Snowden.

I knew it; no wonder Putin is often displaying a slightly smug and very confident smile!

    • Ugh he is smug.

    • Brett_McS

It’s because he knows Obama’s college test scores.

  • FactsWillOut

So comforting to see the state sycophants doing their mandatory 2-minutes hate.

    Snowden is a whistleblower.

    • Doug Kursk

Snowden has blood on his hands. Full stop.

      • FactsWillOut

        Really? Who has he killed?
Then again, so did Churchill. What’s your point?

        • Snowden is a traitor.

          • dance…dancetotheradio

            Worse than Louis Riel.

          • Drunk_by_Noon

            Who’s Louis Riel?

          • Either a Canadian founding father or a murdering traitor who deserved to be and was hanged, depending on who you ask.

          • Drunk_by_Noon

Complex man or nutcase? I suspect that you are leaning towards nutcase.
Sure I could ‘Wikipedia’ him, but I’d rather hear the story from the indigenous Canadian natives, like you, first.

          • I don’t actually know much about him. He was metis. I think he was instrumental in founding Manitoba.

          • dance…dancetotheradio

A murdering traitor with a God complex.
Now, they’ve been naming things after him and it is really irritating. Provincially, they’ve even renamed the February statutory holiday formerly known as Family Day after him.
I was in a carpool once and I said hey Riel Day is coming up and my buddy said Traitor Day.
            I was pleasantly surprised.
The older people around here believe he’s a traitor but the left wing establishment has succeeded in changing that narrative.

You’re the ones blowing the NSA, not me.

    • Drunk_by_Noon

No, he’s not a “whistleblower”, he’s a foreign intelligence asset.
It’s a new kind of game called: “make the American’s methods of collection worthless by exposing them”.

      • FactsWillOut

Yes. He exposed how the NSA is harvesting citizen’s data, in violation of the 4th amendment.

“As a result, we’ve lost critical foreign intelligence collection sources, including some shared with us by valued partners,” he said. “Terrorists and other adversaries of this country are going to school on U.S. intelligence sources, methods and tradecraft, and the insights they are gaining are making our job much, much harder.”

You should know me well enough to know that I do not believe anything said by the state.

          • Drunk_by_Noon

There are plenty of non government sources that say the same thing.

          • FactsWillOut

They are just echoing state propaganda.
If the administration had not put out an arrest warrant, Snowden would not have fled. Do people think he gave up a hot wife, and his freedom for fun?

I wonder what the take on John Pollard is around here.
He committed espionage against the USA for Israel voluntarily, for years.

  • FactsWillOut

How quickly you all forget, in the face of a bit of propaganda.

  • Ho Hum

I have my doubts about this. If in fact Russia and China have obtained and decrypted the Snowden files how would British Intelligence be in a position to learn about this? How would they even know what documents were in Snowdens position? If true, how did China get their hands on the documents? It is unlikely Snowden is keeping them on a server accessible by the internet so we can probably rule out hacking. If in fact what is being claimed is true I doubt that British Intelligence would be advertising this fact since by their very nature intelligence organizations keep secret what they have uncovered.
