“Worthless, feel good statement”: G7 commits to “no carbon” economy by 2100

Today, world leaders wrapped up their annual two-day G7 summit in Germany.

Humans are a carbon based life form. I guess we’re to be phased out.

    • Brenda2600

That is the thinking behind this whole fiasco. It really comes down to survival of the fittest, as always.

    • Surele Surele

      I know I will be… in 2100 for sure.

    • Alain

All life is carbon based, so their goal is a planet without any form of life including plants by 2100. Science has been replaced by politics based on superstition.

      • tom_billesley

They’ll ban sex and pollination. Both are forms of GM.

  • Millie_Woods

I’m committed to eliminating my carbon-based fuel usage by 2100.

    • Justin St.Denis

“Destined to eliminating…” would be a more truthful way to put it – mortality-wise. 😉

      • Millie_Woods

With my lifestyle! Believe me, it’s a commitment.

  • Brenda2600

I think Harper did this stupid thing to take it off the table in the election cycle. You can tell because only Harper and Japan’s leader said they would not put in danger the economy because of this stupid GHG.

With Putin on the rampage nearby, muslim invaders flocking to Europe, ISIS on the warpath, etc., what is the important issue discussed? Why of course global warming. I’m surprised homosexual and whiny indian issues were not at the top of the list as well. Of course Lizzie May in a sober moment thinks we should all give up oil and gas now. After all, why do Canadians need to heat their homes.

    • Justin St.Denis

John, I am certain they only got around to discussing any of the things you mentioned AFTER they finished their deep and prolonged deliberations on the pressing issue of transgenders and transsexuals, the most pressing global issue of all!

  • Clink9

Silver lining guy says they’ll all be dead by then.

  • Norman_In_New_York

The conference concluded with a round of Texas hold ’em poker.

  • moraywatson

Will there be any life forms in this “carbon free” utopia?

    • terrence

NONE – ZIP, ZERO, NADA – but these flat earth fools really believe that CO2 is a pollutant… at least they say so in public

  • There may well be a no-carbon economy by 2100 – if we allow the Muslims to takeover the West – for they will reduce the economy to zero creative or productive activity.

    • Justin St.Denis

A likelier scenario is that the Middle East will be nuked into a carbon wasteland by numerous countries simultaneously.

The annihilation of the muslim world will be enacted on a global scale eventually because some people just really piss off civilized human beings.

  • Justin St.Denis

I am fresh out of fucks to give. So sorry. The meanderings of easily assassinated politicians matter not one whit to me. Ditto the G8/7/6/5/4/3/2/1 dorkholes as well.

Politicians do not mean fuck to most of us, because most politicians are fucking useless wastes of carbon, space and air.

In a nutshell, so to speak……….

    • mobuyus

The left like their politicians to be gay and trans whatever friendly. If not gay and trans whatever, and protective of what they feel are their pets and mascots and to protect them from Free thinking people. Any politician that caters to this bottom dwelling fecal-sludge should be tarred, feathered and run out of town on a pole. Or at least frog marched to the local square and horse whipped, the only problem with this, I think is that they would actually like it.

  • Maurixio Garcia Sanchez

What joke , how old do the seven leaders live in this planet? 500 years I guess.

  • eMan14

Politicians… what would we do without them? Couldn’t be any worse.

  • Jay Currie

I like it. First set a goal far enough in the future not to matter. Second, ignore the fact the rest of the world is building coal fueled generation like there is no tomorrow. Third, climb on big jets and fly home.

    Like job done, eh.

  • vimy

    It is all V’Gers fault

  • Bataviawillem

You can say whatever you want, but it was a nice trip to a nice place, and it was only a few thousand tons of CO2 to all fly there and back.
