Winds of Jihad: Kiwi Methodist to Promote Mohammedanism

Methodist priest Francis Ritchie from Auckland will be observing Ramadan to help bring two major religions together.

A Christian minister wants to break down negative stereotypes about Islam and he is going to observe one of the religion’s most holy festivals to do it.

Francis Ritchie, based at the Wesleyan Methodist Church in east Auckland, will be taking part in the first two weeks of the sacred, month-long event…

  • just a thought

“blah blah blah…observing Ramadan to help bring two major religions together.”

As if the musloids would observe Christmas in order to do the same thing.

    • tom_billesley

The know-nothing takes as a given that mahometanism is a religion.

  • Ron MacDonald

    Idiot appeaser.

    • BillyHW

      Also faggot.

      • You’re not the first to accuse me of that 😉

        • BillyHW

          Stop winking at me faggot.

“Father”, if you want to go celebrate Ramadan in Raqqa, I will pay for your flight.

  • Martin B

“Christians” who sell out Christ for Mahound belong in the Ninth Circle of Hell with Judas.

  • Uncle_Waspy

It’s a race to the bottom with modern churches.

The problem with atheists and churchians is not that they don’t believe in anything — it’s that they will believe anything.

    • As someone who holds firmly to the Apostles’ Creed and Nicene Creed, I think you’ve got me mixed up with someone else 😉

Never trust some one that has the face of a Fruit-Bat.

    • You almost win the internet with that comment! 😀 I see the resemblance.

  • Clink9

He doesn’t realize they just want to dress him in orange and play soccer with his head.

  • tom_billesley

Is he going to do it properly and mark Eid Al-Fitr by slaughtering a goat and hanging the carcass from a lamp post outside his house for poor people to carve from?

  • Maggat

You dolt, you are not “bringing two religions together”. You are opening the flood-way to the end of civilization as we know it. The good news is that you may well lose your own head in the ensuing massacre.

    • I never realised I have quite that much power. That’s news to me. Thanks! 🙂

  • pop

Try that in Syria. He really feels secure in New Zealand.

    • Most of my work relating to Syria is in support of refugees and Christians who are fleeing.

What I always find the most astounding with all these so-called Christians is that it never dawns on them that in order to bring any two opposing sides together both need to agree and both need to take steps. One side making nice while the other side remains unchanged and unmoved can never bring the two sides together. Even the present pope is guilty of this nonsense.

    • Brett_McS

      As is the present President.

    • I never realised Christian theology expected a reciprocation for our actions towards others.

  • Norman_In_New_York

There is no fool like a cleric fool.

This is symptomatic of a larger problem in modern society.
Before the rise of the middle class clergymen were surplus males who could follow a path in the church that could satisfy some of their ambitions for power and status instead of joining the army or the navy.
Now, the people who self select for religious office come from a far smaller pool comprised of dewy eyed idealists.
Anyone with any ambition or talent stays in mainstream society.

      • Frau Katze

Good point. I hadn’t thought of that before.

      • You don’t know how right you are! I am both talentless and lack ambition. Bravo 🙂

    • You should approach a music agency, your lyrical waxing is genius! 😀

I really do hope he chokes on something when he breaks the fast
At the end of the first day, and that no one is around to give the hymlick the world won’t miss this appeasing asshole..

    • If I’m going to go out like that, hopefully it involves a good curry. I love curry!

  • truthdareisay

There is a Methodist to his madness.

  • Blacksmith

These appeasers are incredibly ignorant, The truth is out there and they willfully ignore it.

I love how you’re doing this to break down the stereotypes about Muslims. There has been a lot of media attention doing exactly that. There has not been media attention breaking the stereotypes of Jews or Israeli’s, however. What say you, minister?

    • I agree, hence I have been involved in reconciliation work in the ‘Holy Land’ between Israelis and Palestinians.
