Scholar: ‘Grievance Feminism’ Crippling Debate on Gender Politics

American Enterprise Institute scholar Christina Hoff Sommers spoke against the rising influence of “grievance feminism” on Thursday.

Hoff Sommers, the author of Who Stole Feminism, said at the Independent Women’s Forum’s “Women LEAD” summit that “intersectional feminism” holds that everyone who is not a white, straight male is “oppressed and traumatized” to varying degrees, and that we increasingly hear about “a need for safe spaces, trigger warnings, and micro-aggression watches.”

Never trust any thing that bleeds for three days but doesn’t die.

    • Ouch.

      • Collage feminism is a road to poverty.

A degree in feminist studies or other “grievance disciplines” is simply a waste of money and time. After the degree, your job prospects are no better than a high school drop out.

Who wants to employ someone “educated” in the fine art of being offended?

As a former business owner I use to review inbound resumes. My favorite came from a women’s studies graduate, with a hyphenated last name, and the envelope came in with postage due. That resume went straight into the schreder.

My advice to young women (and men) who want equality. Study something valuable – math, engineering, accounting, medical industry, computers, electrician, plumbers. Don’t waste time and money on worthless grievance degrees.

Colleges should provide statistics on job prospects for degreed programs. These statistics should include realistic pay potential. They should also show how much a degree “costs” and how long it will take to “pay off the college loan”.

She’s reasonably good looking; therefore she can’t be a true feminist.

  • LauraS

Love the Factual Feminist! She’s great at eviscerating the worst elements of the feminist movement and standing up for boys/young men in the school systems.

    • I do enjoy her work.

She is brilliant and very effective speaker as well. The mainstream feminist nutbars positively loathe her. There is so much to love about this brilliant woman.

““We need our own scholars and lawyers. It’s not enough to have activists. It’s going to take time,” she said. “But I think we have history on our side. Reality and truth make powerful allies.”

Forever the optimist, I really hope she’s right. I just think I won’t be around to see it.
