Four soldiers and two students were wounded when a roadside bomb exploded in Narathiwat’s Rangae district on Friday morning, police said…

The bomb went off when a military team providing protection for teachers walked past… Two sisters [ages 8 and 9] who were walking behind the patrol team to Bo-ngo school were also injured…

Teacher killing spooks South: A southern teacher network Thursday urged the government to review its security measures to provide safety for teachers in the deep South in the wake of the latest killing of a teacher in Pattani.

Boonsom Thongsriprai, president of the Federation of Teachers from the Three Southern Border Provinces, said preventive measures have to be tightened up for teachers who work for schools in violence-prone areas…

The teachers work with the government and are considered ‘collaborators.’

And people wonder why Burma, the country next door, doesn’t want Muzz on its territory.

I understand the worry of Burma completely. There are small things almost daily in southern Thailand. I only report them occasionally.

The Thais would do well to expel the Muslims over the border into Malaysia, seal that border and replace the population with Buddhists.
