Premier Kathleen Wynne welcomed His Highness the Aga Khan to Queen’s Park today for the signing of a historic Agreement of Cooperation between the province and the Ismaili Imamat. The agreement outlines areas of cooperation and joint initiatives, including leveraging diversity and culture as an economic driver and supporting a pluralistic approach to education.

In the agreement and its related appendices, the government and the Ismaili Imamat have agreed to collaborate on mutually beneficial education initiatives in an effort to foster capacity-building and promote the exchange of knowledge and expertise.

Projects include the secondment of Ontario teachers to the Aga Khan Academies; the creation of opportunities for Aga Khan Academy graduates to attend Ontario’s world-class post-secondary institutions; and the exploration of a range of curriculum-linked resources that emphasize intercultural understanding and that draw on the Aga Khan Museum for its teaching collection and expertise on pluralism of Muslim culture to support learning in Ontario schools…

… expertise on pluralism of Muslim culture …
That’ll come in handy when the Ismailis are explaining to Ontario kids why they are regarded as kuffar by both Sunni and Shia.

      Realities, realities… They’re so inconvenient.

    • Alain

Nor are they our allies either.

  • CodexCoder

Is there no limit to Wynne’s gullibility?

    • mauser 98

      not gullible …….criminal

  • Petey

A traitor. A complete traitor. And she deserves a traitor’s fate.

  • This is bad news

    • mauser 98

      to get worse

The concept of “leveraging diversity” is so ridiculous as to be beyond words; the jihadists will have more reasons to strike at Kathleen because she just signed a deal with someone who is considered a full-blown apostate by authentic Mohammedans!

One of the few consolations about the state of Islam in Canada is that nearly a third of the “Muslims” are Ismailis. You are not going to find a lot of jihadis in the Ishmaili community. Nor the whole wife bag thing.

All round civilized and extremely hard working.

    • Helios Megistos

They will all be sent packing when the time is right; it does not matter if they are “nice”!

    • Linda1000

I think your 33% is high. There are just over one million Muslims in Canada. I know initially about 25 to 30,000 Ismailis came to Canada from Uganda. The rest went to Britain and I guess maybe a few other countries. I think there were in 1979 about 75,000 to 85,000 Ismailis in Uganda.
So, as a wild guess, I would think that there would be less than 100,000 Ismailis in Canada or less than 10% of the Cdn. Muslim population. The total Muslim population of Canada was around 3.2% in 2011 (figures seem to vary).

The Aga Kahn takes a tithe from all members and returns a portion of it to their brightest young people to put them through university with a major emphasis in Canada of studying law, political science and teaching.

The infamous and shameless Red Tory Prime Ministraitor gave thirty million of our tax dollars to the Aga Conman back in 2010!

The Ismaili are absolutely the best of Islam. If all muslims in Canada were Ismaili, there would be no problem at all.

    • Ho Hum

I would agree if all Muslim’s were like Ismaili the world would be a better place. They are a very benign sect. The Swiss born playboy The Aga Khan owns vineyards and his Serena chain of Hotels sells liquor. The restaurant inside his beautiful new museum in Toronto serves wine with dinner and even non-Halal items (although not Pork)!

    • moraywatson

There are no good brands of totalitarian islam. NONE. All of islam has oozed and seeped from the same sewer concocted by the pedophile, and narcissistic barbarian, mohammed, 14 centuries ago. Nothing comes from nothing.

  • ontario john

I still would like to know where the de facto dictator of a small muslim sect gets all his money for these projects around the world. Or am I being islamophobic?

    • Ho Hum

He receives tithe’s from his faithful followers. Some of that money gets directed to charity. A large portion goes into his private businesses, e.g. the Serena Hotel chain, Vineyards etc. It help that France allows him to live tax free in that country and it helps that sucker leaders like Stephen Harper give him Millions to promote “diversity”. The Ismaili Imamat resemble a racket more than a religion.

      • Charles Ponzi

Ismaili Islam is not a racket.

Now that is cleared, do you want to invest money with me when I guarrantee you 24% interest yearly, paid out at 2% a month?

  • eMan14

Nothing good will come of this. Death by beheading or death by a thousand cuts. It still ends in death.
I suspect we are putting money into this? If so, I am against that in principle.

    • 100K, plus a promise to give free education to 30 Muslims.

      We get a white elephant.

  • Of course she did.

It’s time to leave her in Syria.

  • Gary

Every sect of islam claims they are the peaceful ones while the others have it all wrong .

    • just a thought

Yep. And if you don’t believe them, they’ll kill ya!
