    What a surprise! Africa is the most dangerous place on earth!
    It must be because the nasty Europeans went and inflicted their white privilege on the poor little negroes, who would otherwise be living in peace and harmony, and would all be millionaires by now.

    It’s only a threat if they view it as one. I doubt very much for all their screaming and MI5 nonsense that politically, the UK thinks of terrorism as much of a big deal whether it happens or not. It’s one of those ‘fly the flag’ things they feel they have to make noise about. In the US they like to make noise and spend a great deal of money on it because it helps keeps politicians in office and contractors paid.

      Exactly, although perhaps the more recent attacks haven’t been factored in yet.

      Could they be including drug gangs?

      And there was (and may still be) a lot of violence in Colombia…it was a mishmash of class resentments…which morphed into militias dealing drugs.
