Muslims Fight Back Against Halal Losses

Islamic organisations are now fighting back to protect a billion dollar industry that thrives on labelling Australian products as “halal certified”. Now that the extortion racket has been exposed, Aussie shoppers are shunning the “certified” products to the dismay of Australian manufacturers and processors.

To bloody right. It starts with Cadbury chocolate and vegemite.

    • Brett_McS

I haven’t had either since I learnt of this scam. I’m a convert to Lindt dark.

      • Kaye

Me too – the Lindt part, that is; I still find dark chocolate too bitter.

        • simus1

I like dark chocolate but it gives me cramps in my hands and legs (as well as shall we say outbreaks of “intestinal rebellion”.

  • Drunk_by_Noon

    Shame them!
Why is this not paid for by charitable donations from Muslims?
It benefits them solely, and so, it’s only fair that they solely pay for it.

  • Ron MacDonald

The same should happen in Canada.

in the uk over production of halal products is a criminal offence .horrific halal slaughter is only allowed for the consumption by mus-tards , over production now running at 82% .over production of kosher meat and poultry runs at 1% .[ed uk ]

  • phuque uguugle

The problem is PAYING for products that are naturally halal. All natural products are halal according to the toilet roll (quran) except the usual suspects(haram) pork and blood and the meat of carrion eaters, HOWEVER anything anything can be eaten after the “bismallah” blessing. This blessing makes the whole halal thing a LIE and a RIPOFF. Why DO toilet paper, hot cross buns, baby oil, chocolate, dairy products and fresh vegetables have to be certified halal, it’s bullshit. <:o)

    • tom_billesley

      Wipe with bullshit.

  • tom_billesley

All the guff about “monitoring for possible cross contamination” is to make producers go completely halal in their premises instead of just producing some lines for mahometans.

  • Ho Hum

    This is great news!

Hopefully Canadian consumers will become aware of the Halal extortion racket and begin to BOYCOTT Halal food suppliers and restaurants such as Maple Lodge Farms, Popeye’s Chicken, HERO Burger, and on and on! for a complete list of companies to boycott check out this link!

  • Brett_McS

A phone app can be used to check if a product is halal certified, put out by

There is a ‘fake’ senate enquiry into halal in Australia going on at the moment… run by a Labor, Muslim MP!

    • Linda1000

Australia and New Zealand could sell more lamb if it wasn’t halal. that’s about all I ever see in grocery stores in Canada so to get non-halal lamb one has to go to a specialty meat or butcher store which is more expensive and even then I’m not sure if it’s not halal.

  • marty_p

Canadian boycott – first item – Stop purchasing any Maple Lodge chicken products.

“As Canada’s largest independent, family-owned chicken processor, Maple Lodge Farms is also one of the largest producers of Halal food products. We are proud to say that we are home to Canada’s #1 Halal brand, Maple Lodge Farms’ Zabiha Halal. We are committed to providing you with wholesome, top quality food for your family. We have a full complement of Halal products available that includes deli meats, sliced packaged meats, breakfast strips, a variety of frozen meat selections and fresh poultry.”

    • LauraS

Better yet, TELL them that you have stopped purchasing their products and why. Maybe the Muslim market will keep them in business!

      • Linda1000

MapleLodge seems to be an ON company which is good since we have enough of our own halal crap in AB. Lillydale (Costco stores) is another halal poultry brand.

    • Waffle

You just made me get up and check my eggs. They do not have the Halal certified stamp on them. I’ve been buying the expensive eggs ever since I watched the W5 program on the disgusting conditions most chickens are raised in. I refuse to contribute to torture.

  • The_Infidel_01

The best part of all this is, my wife and I are now eating whole foods, we have stopped purchasing over processed rubbish. We also make all our own, bread, chocolate, amongst other foods and purchase meat directly from our farmer friend, including nice juicy pork.

  • The Goat

I don’t want to eat food consecrated to demons.

  • Best go vegetarian, then lobby all those food companies (even if you would never buy their pork scratchings anyway) and tell them where to stick their halal certification.

How to Defeat the islamic State

  • simus1

It should be illegal to sell “unlabelled, uncertified” halal meat products from an overall halal compliant production line in Canada . Every meat packer should be required by law to totally segregate any halal production and its personnel from its mainstream operation.
    Stop the bullshit.
