Why do you have to make everything about RACE! 😉

Funny how scribblers rarely mention the dollar cost of the extra security required by added diversity. The 2013 New York City Marathon sponsors paid $1 million for anti-terror measures but that certainly didn’t include police OT and such for the day. Plus, all the rules and regimentation because of jihad threats have sucked out the free spirit of citizen athletic events.

    • It the hidden cost of Islam. You can get some of the hard dollar numbers i.e. additional security costs, but then there are the costs you can’t absolutely quantify such as the damage done to society i.e. the lowered sense of trust and security, the growing disdain that citizens feel toward societies institutions that accommodate Islam at their expense out fear.

It is not getting better, in fact it will get worse. We are not immune to what Europe is now witnessing first hand. Islam is violent totalitarian hatred.

I wonder whether the Olympics will survive. London spent $2 billion for the 2012 games, while the 1948 games were done totally on the cheap because England was so broke after the war. The British gymnasts practiced in the park.

Ottawa takes great pride that there is well over 1000,000 muslims and the its the fastest growing population who cares about Canadians.

Sell enrichment and diversity someplace else. We are all stocked up here!

I think the reference to race refers to just plain racing…like marathons.

      I’m not 100% sure.

Why don’t they cancel it due to “security concerns” the way they did the draw mo or the Buddha event last week? At least that would be consistent.

    • Brett_McS

Because it brings in money and they can off-load a lot of the additional security cost?

    • Petey

      I didn’t make this comment.

      What’s going on with Disqus?

        What do you mean?

It’s a different IP and email, so it’s someone who picked that name as a guest login. I see no sign of trying to be malicious…just keep an eye on it…my guess is that it’s a coincidence.
