  • Wally Keeler

    • I propose international “Islam awareness and free speech day”. It should be celebrated on September 11th every year.

In the USA, gun clubs could start this celebration by having long range Koran shoots and special “bacon Koran skeet” shoots.

The jihadis might think twice about attacking a gun club.

    • Justin St.Denis

Time, place, date – all were provided, Skippy.

  • Wally Keeler

Who is calling for this event? Is there a link?

  • Dana Garcia

Don’t forget to have plenty of well armed security fellows with serious firearms.

  • Wally Keeler

No sponsors; perhaps it is a hoax.

    • G

Do it anyway. I would like to photoshop SCOC justices Bev MClaughlin and Rosalee Abdella’s faces onto some donkey’s asshole or onto some skeezy porn pic. Throw Elizabeth May in their too.

      • mobuyus

This porn would be just for Donkeys, right?

    • David Murrell

Is there a way of getting this guy off of the BCF pages…

    • Maggat

      Piss off!

    • Xanthippa is organizing it.

  • Gary

Islam wants to kill us all anyway, why bother to join Justin and bow to mekkah and have our heads chopped off. I’ll die standing up for something while Justin will fall for anything.

    • mobuyus

Given the choice of righteousness or peace I’ll choose righteousness.

  • Xanthippa Socrates

I’m the one organizing it – and RCMP will be on hand to provide security.

Come, one and all – and let’s have some serious blasphemy!

    • Speaksvolumes

      Do you have a website?

      • Xanthippa Socrates
        • Speaksvolumes

Have you created a Facebook event page? Have you posted it on Twitter? You’ve got to promo and market this so that people know about it or no one will come! Get the word out!

          • Xanthippa Socrates

Anything you can do to help would be welcome.

I am not facebook myself, but several people have said they’d be putting it up.

All my posts are automatically Tweeted, too.

And I’ve asked kind bloggers to get the word out – as Blaze did!

          • Speaksvolumes

Can you please post the link to the Facebook page once they’ve set it up?

Have you notified the media so that they’re aware this is going on?

  • Billy Bob Thornton

But cui bono from these events?! That is why I have to ask what is the point of drawing these pictures and the people holding these events what is their motive? Do they want to continue the failed War on Terror? Do they want to have the security, surveillance and police state? The people that organize these events who funds them? People are curious and don’t much trust their government. Are the people organizing these events trying to build up anger against certain groups?! These are serious and important questions. The only reason to hate is to cause problems for other groups and why this is fascism and militarism gone mad. It will also lead to racial hatred between groups. The last refuge of the nation is to rob the average person which is why people must not be divided.

    • Thank you for providing the Islamist point of view. Before trashing the people who take a stand, take a look at the Muslim savages who are the real modern day fascists. They have done more to divide us than anybody else.

      • Billy Bob Thornton

I am not a Muslim but someone that supports real journalism which is doing research on who funds these groups. Taking a stand doesn’t mean giving people what they want to hear but challenging the mainstream orthodoxy and challenging the mainstream parties. Speech is not confined to certain issues but to all issues. Either you have total freedom of speech which I feel can never exist or government sanctioned or permitted speech. So no I believe that these groups are allowed to speak because governments of the day want war.

        • Justin St.Denis

Talk to your mirror, BBT. You bore the daylights out of everyone else.

        • Sorry, Ahmed, your recruitment “dawa” is not going to win you any converts on this site. I respectfully advise you to go blow Pedophile Mohammed and his syphilitic companions. That would put you in higher position within the muzzie heaven.

      • this wannabe “jouuuuuurnalist” and “researcher-lol” is not even a good whore for islam when he/she/it throws around the “…racial hatred….” mantra (as he/she/it does) – because even the not-so-bright folks have understood meanwhile that islam is not a “race” (other than in “race to the bottom”).

    • Justin St.Denis

BillyBob, go buy yourself another bottle of hooch, a whack of Valium, and throw your own Private Idaho Party. I’m sure you will come out of it making far more sense than you have thus far in your sorry life.

      • Billy Bob Thornton

You just want things to continue where there is a clash of civilizations. I mean why don’t you sign up if you are so tough?

        Come on chicken hawk.

        • Speaksvolumes

There is no clash of civilizations. There is a clash between civilization and barbarism. Right now the barbarians are telling the civilized what they can and cannot draw. Some of us have had enough of that.

          • Billy Bob Thornton

So if 14 years is not enough nonsense and being told how to think then you could say this is going to go on forever this be afraid nonsense. The West needs war on demand. After the 9/11 economic slump, the West has not gone back to that Dot Com era high. So the war economy is here to stay. Everything is to help the war profiteers.

          • Billy Bob Thornton

Think about the fact that the wars always go on.

          • FactsWillOut

Long before the west, as a matter of fact. Since the beginning of time.

          • Nan

Read up on the First Barbary Wars.

          • moraywatson

            Billy Bob Algorithm.

        • Justin St.Denis

I already have, Skippy. 12 years. How about you?

P.S. It takes two civilizations to engage in a clash of civilizations, Skippy. Your analogy is irrelevant.

    • tom_billesley

“War on Terror” phooey. It’s a war with mahometanism, and mahomet declared it in the 7th century. The only peace is when they stop to regroup.

  • Billy Bob Thornton

In fact many of these cartoons do not promote free speech. I have shown on BCF many examples of where people criticize Israel and do get charged so free speech is not really free. Some groups have more power than others. People get so drawn in by these events that they believe that free speech is universal. Well no. Governments also allow certain groups to promote stuff more than others at certain times to benefit them politically. Therefore, I would regard these events as government sanctioned free speech. Therefore, we are permitted to say certain things but not others. This has more to do with those that support massive expansions to the War on Terror because such people always want war and have never met a war they didn’t like. Such people would be classified as dominionists. A dominionist is someone that wants total war and global war. Such people can also be classified as rapturists. So the question is who benefits?! It certainly isn’t the average person which I am sure wants a better life for those around them and not to have conflict.

    • Justin St.Denis

      So Bo-o-o-o-o-ring!

      • Billy Bob Thornton

Well you know nothing about how our system works so of course you have nothing to rebut with. You don’t know political science. You ignore how interventionists are. You ignore how the religious people on right fail to see their hypocrisy or virtually every subject. Yup I got you! People on the right are fake Christians.

    • Islam is a filthy cult dominated by sadists and child rapists. None of your lies would change that reality.

  • Billy Bob Thornton

In fact the sole purpose of these events are to poke Islam and for anti-Muslim bigotry and because Zionist Christians hate everything that isn’t Judaism or Christianity. As if they care about Atheists, Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims or anything else. Their sole purpose is war, bringing about the rapture and following their corporate friends. Which is why when people say Judeo-Christian principles run like hell from that person.

    • Justin St.Denis

Crazy people say the darndest things, don’t they?

      • Billy Bob Thornton

Look who is pushing the wars just the Zionists and the neocons. Most of them are Christians so what is wrong about that.

        My statement is accurate.

And about the sentence ooo big accomplishment. I expected more from a high school student. Insults how original from the rabid angry frothing at the mouth right wing. Don’t forget imperialist and colonialist.

      • Billy Bob Thornton

Also what is more crazy than believing everything the Blaze, Fox and the Rebel tells you.

Sounds to me that you believe everything while I question and am opened minded.

The crazy ones are the supporters of parties no matter what they do.

    • Speaksvolumes

I’m an atheist and an artist and you can be damned sure that I’ll draw whatever the fuck I want despite hostile threats of violence from Muslims. It is my right to do so. The more a bully tells me I can’t draw a cartoon, the more determined I’ll be to draw it. Go fuck yourself you mealy mother appeaser. You’re scared of bullies instead of standing up to them.

  • cmh

I am hoping to email my entry (like I did with the Garland exhibit) as I cannot attend. I do not live in Ontario but certainly want to be part of this event. Any chance of this?

    • Send it to me I will pass it along to the organizers.

  • Jay Currie

No point in having free speech if you don’t use it.

An event like this is important simply because it supports our right to do as we please. It need have no other purpose. Ideally some art will be created, everyone will have a good time and that will be an end of it. And if it goes down that way the right to free speech will once again be affirmed.

In a country which is rather new at the whole free speech thing such demonstrations are important. Our political class needs evidence that we take free speech seriously.

(Otherwise they are inclined to try to use the Criminal Code to silence the BDS loons and Arthur Topham. They pass awful bills like C-51. Free Speech is not yet baked into the Canadian DNA. Events like this help that process along.)
