Obama: just take money from society’s ‘lottery winners’

  • Xavier

“Early childhood education that will make a difference” (in future voting patterns)

As for the “lottery winners” financing it, why aren’t he, Soros, and all their rich supporters leading by example?

Socialism by any other name is still theft and near-slavery.

    • k1992

Exactly – it’s always the same thing with these selfless idealists: give generously to the less fortunate (with someone else’s money).

    • Frau Katze

Early childhood education has zero long term affect. IQ is largely inherited. Other factors that influence how a person “turns out” includes the culture he lives in. For young poor kids, that culture is increasingly toxic. Drugs, broken families, difficulty finding work for those with low IQ (fewer and fewer opportunities for unskilled workers), etc.

      • Uncle_Waspy

And that brings up another progressive fallacy – that all people are equal. Equal before the law, yes. But equal in terms of smarts, looks, strength, talent, accomplishment, wealth……yeah, not so much.

Every child has the potential to become another Steve Jobs or Oprah if only sufficient resources were made available to them – so the bogus logic goes.

        • tom_billesley

          The left has two equalities.
The equality of rights for the “disadvantaged”, and the equality of reparation responsibilities for those with white privilege.
No one has rights and responsibilities

    • Define “lottery winner”. Is that someone with a job?

  • The_Infidel_01

Lets start with soros, Clintons, Obama (lets see his income increase since he has been in the job shall we), reid (same as Obama), Pelosi (same same) and a few other rich dem donors.

    • Xavier

      There’s an exemption for progressives.

      • The_Infidel_01

        Yeah, thought so.

  • Brett_McS

    Not a communist … No!

  • CodexCoder

Again with the “fairness” argument. Can you describe exactly, Mr. President, what is “fair”? How much money is “fair”? What amount of chattel constitutes “fair”? “Fair” is a heavily loaded word that never seems to be defined, and no progress towards achieving “fairness” is ever enough, and no one ever calls the user on their abuse of the word “fair”.

And Justin Trudeau is just as clueless – his entire fiscal platform rides on the word “fair”. Until someone points out that life will never be “fair”, until someone derides the use of that meaningless word, politicians will use it in an attempt to appear enlightened, and sympathetic when in fact they are its complete opposite. How “fair” is it that Justin has nice hair, a trust fund that he did nothing to earn, a political heritage (albeit dubious) and name recognition that means something to “liberal” (and again, I use that word advisedly because of abuse) voters while being a complete and utter mental lightweight with no accomplishments?

    • Frau Katze

Indeed…if anyone is a “lottery winner” it’s Justin.

  • simus1

For someone’s first attempt at an animated ventriloquist dummy, he’s not bad.

  • Backa Bock

Not all wealthy people got there by luck. Perhaps, hard work, smarts and targeted risk taking should be rewarded by at least acknowledging the truth.

    • El Martyachi

Yes and luck is still a factor in striking it rich, less so in staying that way. Not that there’s anything wrong with that! A big reason for people flocking to the new world was to have a chance at getting lucky.

      • Backa Bock

Yes, luck is one factor. However, it’s difficult to get lucky if you’re lazy and uneducated. It takes 3 things: preparation, perseverance, and good fortune.

        • El Martyachi

How about moderately lucky and semi-educated while prone to long bouts of laziness interspersed with manic directed activity of questionable utility? Does that cut it? Asking for a friend.

  • Hard Little Machine

Obama’s world view is based entirely on the notion that ‘this’ whatever
this is, is as much as it can ever and will every be and our duty as
citizens is ration out that quantity until nothing is left. Obama’s
world looks like a lifeboat and he’s the self appointed leader and if
you have an orange you must be forced to surrender that orange to him so
he can take his 40% cut of it and dole out the remaining 60% to
everyone else on the lifeboat except you.

  • Norman_In_New_York

His speech earned him the honor from One America News’s Rick Amato of “mamaluke of the day.” (That’s Italian for idiot.) “He just can’t help being a mamaluke,” observed Amato.

“you didn’t build that, some one else did”
Barry Barack Hussein Dunham Soebarkah Bounel Soetoro Obama is about total government control
also wants to close private schools and clubs (club not being defined)
Mooch says minorities not welcome in public museums

If someone could just get a sample of his DNA …………………………
At the least it could could answer the earthling or not speculation.

    • His facial resemblance to his mother’s side is so strong that I don’t see any reason to question his paternity.

      • mauser 98

        and his fathers side?

  • pdxnag

With that title I thought about taxing the entirety of someone’s lottery winnings, literally. Some years ago I thought that such a tax would best illustrate the absurdity of having government run lottery controlled by the same folks that want to end private property rights. You can play to win the lottery but you can’t keep any winnings. (So, why play at all? Why make anything at all? Why work?)
