Muslim Refuses Service To Woman With Guide Dog At Toronto Restaurant

Kaye Leslie and her guide dog Jordan were on their way to meet family for lunch Sunday when nephew-in-law Steven Lewis called with a surprising message: an employee at Paramount Fine Foods was refusing to seat the group because the golden retriever couldn’t mix with its halal-style food.

Lewis said he requested a table for four with a “bit of extra space” for the guide dog at the Middle Eastern restaurant and bakery on Yonge St. The unidentified employee told Lewis and his wife
Leah, Leslie’s niece, that dogs weren’t allowed in the near-empty restaurant.

“I said, ‘No, it’s a service dog. It’s a guide dog.’ He said, ‘No, this restaurant’s halal, you’re not allowed in here with any dogs,’” said Lewis, a onetime Toronto resident who was in town for the weekend from Muskoka.

Yes but our HRCs would support the Muslim, anti-bling bigots over white blind people. It’s in their DNA.

When you’re in their country, you follow Moslem rules.
When you’re in your country, you follow Moslem rules.

    See how easy that is?

Don’t you know that sharia “law” overrules Canadian laws now?

    • Zaba

This is true in the muzlim psyche.
Merely your basic 7th century mindset.

  • dance…dancetotheradio

    Their food sucks anyway.
People are always telling me how good the food at these restaurants is.
It’s carb laden crap with dubious spice.

    • Zaba

And halal means that money goes to jihad.

    • DavidinNorthBurnaby

Buddy had to “treat” me to a shawarma one day, cause of course I had no idea how great it was. Blech! And I recall wondering uneasily when the guy making this shit had last washed his hands, too. :-p
      Horrible. Never again.

      • Zaba

        Don’t write off shwarma!

        • Alain

I agree, for when I lived in Senegal where there was a large Christian Lebanese population some of them had restaurants with shawarma, which was great. No halal just great food.

          • Ho Hum

When I lived in Ottawa for a short while I used to frequent a restaurant run by Christian Lebanese sisters (they wore big crucifix’s around their necks) and I loved their chicken and beef shawarma (washed down with cold beer of course). I wish that I could find a Christian run mid-east restaurant in Toronto that does not serve Halal meat. Same with Indian. I used to love Indian buffet’s but stop going to them after I discovered many served halal meat

Perhaps if you had dipped it in the camel urine based sauce.

    • Justin St.Denis

In Great Britain, there are been numerous cases of muslim restaurant foods and take-away being adulterated with human feces. I would never eat in a muslim owned and run establishment.

    • Sir, we will have to agree to disagree.

      Just shut the place down.

      Then everybody is happy.

    • tom_billesley

Food originating from hot countries tends to be highly spiced. I think it was originally to mask the smell and taste of spoiled meat. Maybe it still is.

      • Mickey Oberman

I always thought that was the raison d’etre of the multitude of French sauces.

  • Dana Garcia

“Paramount Fine Foods” — that’s pretty misleading.

Halal violent food joints should be required to alert potential customers to their restrictions and the nature of their slaughter practices.

    • Petey

      Looks legit.

    • I hope that hell hole is driven out of business.

      • winterdog1

The CBC all over it HA HA HA HA HA People u DO KNOW WHAT HALA MEANS RIGHT

    • eMan14

Paramount is a Halal restaurant chain.

I questioned them on their food and got this response.

“Halal just means that the animal is ‘butchered’ in a humane way. That is really all it means. That the animal was fed a natural diet, wasn’t slaughtered in front of another animal, etc.

I’ve attached a simple diagram for your reference. Should you not choose to partake that is completely your choice and we completely understand”

      • Ho Hum

On their website they say that they are certified by ISNA – which as we know is a group linked to the Muslim brotherhood and terrorist groups. HERO Burger used to have their meat certified by ISNA but had to drop them after ISNA’s links to terrorism were exposed.

        • eMan14

          Good to know…thanks.

  • barryjr

I wonder why the media isn’t all over this like they are when someone doesn’t want to bake a cake for someone else? I think it’s time for a human rights tribunal investigation.

You *did* overlook the /sarc tag, there, right? 😉

  • Uncle_Waspy

That guide dog is worth more than 1000 of these shitty 3rd world inbred bastards. But worse than them is the “good, enlightened” progressives that eagerly accommodate their arrogant demands.

  • Zaba

…….halal food — which is prepared as prescribed by Muslim law…..
    ….its halal-style food.

Look how easily the msm glosses over the cruelty of halal
as per the example posted by Dana Garcia.

halal is a complex scam and helps fund jihad.

  • Petey

    This. This so much.

    • Canadian

      I love this character!

  • simus1

Dogs are sensitive and intelligent animals that can size up most situations very quickly and guide dogs are at the top of the heap in that department. Why anyone would want to subject such a fine animal to the feral atmosphere of any muslim run food service location even minus the halal pretense is a simple question.

    Dogs deserve better than that.
Such establishments should be encouraged to make themselves as exclusive as possible and be restricted by law to serving only their coreligionists. A “special halal tax” should be imposed on such offensive enterprises and they should be ordered closed on all significant statuary holidays, plus all the holy days of the real religions.

  • c w

25,000 dollar fine against the wanker at the counter, and 250,000 dollar fine against the owners of the store. They must be made to know the true law.

    • Uncle_Waspy

The enforcement of the law is very whimsical. Everyone is equal……but some are more equal than others.

      • Toronto has given Muslims special privileges, they will not be prosecuted.

        • Yusuf_Al_Kafir

I’m a bit surprised the Star chose to report on this.
I assumed the link would be to the Toronto Sun.

If this story shows up in tomorrow’s print edition of the Star I’ll be surprised again.

  • Edubeat

Goat meat and dog meat are not epicurean delights.

  • Drunk_by_Noon

When’s the next “strap on a Go Pro, grab the seeing eye dog, and try to hail a cab” day?

    It. Needs. To. Happen.

Imadgine DOZENS OF RECORDED encounters (that the Muslims cannot lie about), all on the same day to make the point of Islamic lawlessness and cruelty.

    • Badly needs to happen in Toronto and at Pearson Airport.

  • Martin B

I’ll call your attention to the Blind Persons’ Rights Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.B.7

2.(1) No person, directly or indirectly…shall

    a) deny to any person the accommodation, services, or facilities available in any place to which the public is customarily admitted; or
    b) discriminate against any person with respect to the accommodation, services or facilities available in any place to which the public is customarily admitted, or the charges for the use thereof,

for the reason that he or she is a blind person accompanied by a guide dog.

Penalty 6.(1) Every person who is in contravention of section 2 is guilty of an offence and on conviction is liable to a fine not exceeding $ 5000.

It’s the FUCKING LAW in this province! Arrest and fine this Mohammedan!

(the Star only mentions a City of Toronto bylaw, but this Ontario regulation, among others, also applies and must be enforced)

    • Frau Katze

But Muslims are exempt because they’re “special”.

      • Gary

        True , they’re still in the 9th century .

    • Yea Muslim cab drivers get away with it all the time.

      • simus1

“devout muslims” gravitate to driving cabs because it is one of very few occupations compatible with their rigid public prayer schedule needs at the mosque plus the added bonus of putting on a show trying to “out muslim” each other five times a day. To be observed by his peers driving a dog around in their giant game of “Snakes and Ladders” would definitely result in landing on a snake and ruin any player’s day.

  • Yusuf_Al_Kafir

It’s one thing to be afraid of dogs, but, it’s something else to not like dogs.

Especially in the face of a service dog.

There isn’t a public relations firm on the planet that can save the Muslims from their own tendencies.

    • Frau Katze

Service dogs are well-trained. They have to be. They pose no danger.

  • Justin St.Denis

Any mutt deserves better than to sit around hatred-filled muslims for two hours. But a guide dog? Those muslims should be forced to kiss its paws and apologize.

  • Blind Druid

This woman is apparently going around seeking confrontations with Muzz over her guide dog. I say good for her. We need to do this constantly, along with drawing Mo, taking all the Korans in the bookstore and placing them in the “fiction” section, and sneaking a pound of bacon into the shopping cart of a bodybagged sharmuta in the grocery store. Let two of their tires down if they block your driveway to go to mosk on Friday. This is war.

  • Canadian

There were no human-kind restaurants where they could have gone?
Why would anyone go to a place where they probably spit in your food if you`re not a beheader?

    • That’s why I avoid all Halal establishments.

      • Canadian

      • Mickey Oberman

How about those establishments such as Walmart that advertise that they carry halal?

  • Maggat

Ontario HRC won’t touch this with a ten foot pole, any takers?

    • They never prosecute Muslims.

      • Micky C.

Unless you’re a lesbian wanting a bull dyke haircut.

        • tom_billesley

          That’s a trump card.

    • Gary

Barbara Hall put on the Niqab long ago and she’s knows how prone muslims are to riots and terrorism.
The Toronto Police now embrace the Muslims Brotherhood Sharia law and allow the Hijab/Niqab as part of the new Uninformed , non-Uniform , Uniforms .
So now when a 8th century throw-back islamist beat his wife and threatens to behead the Daughter for not wearing the Hijab, the women will call 9-1-1 only to see the Police sent them a Hijab wearing homophobic jew-hating islamists that agrees with the Husband .

  • Shut the place down.

  • Ho Hum

“Fakih (Paramount Foods CEO) said he was unaware of a link between halal food — which is prepared as prescribed by Muslim law — and a ban on service dogs or dogs in general.

A perfect example of taqiyya. This devout Muslim claims he is unaware of a ban on dogs in general? Of course the reporter like most Canadian’s is too stupid to realize that this was a complete lie. When are Canadian’s going to get educated about Islam? When are they going to get educated on what Halal is? I’m sure most think it is just a form of ethnic cooking – like Greek or Chinese food.

  • Gary

I guess the restaurant didn’t want a massive PETA rally to denounce the cruel treatment to force a dog to risk touching a master-race islamist POS.

In some parts of Toronto like Dixon and Kipling a dog is cleaner than the bogus refugee muslims from islamic hell-holes that don’t use toilet paper.

  • eMan14

I found this a curious comment within the article..

“How food is prepared doesn’t factor in to the city’s bylaw, said John Decourcy, director of bylaw enforcement at the City of Toronto.”

Really? Food preparation is not governed by any bylaws? What the hell are we eating out there?

  • Mickey Oberman

    Paramount Fine Foods?
A name to be remembered – and ostracised.
Indeed, it behooves democracy loving Canadians to BOYCOTT anything halal, the cruellest form of animal slaughter/torture in the world.

  • Hard Little Machine

Simple – call your friends and bring 50 dogs to the place.

  • tom_billesley

A lot of commenters at the Star have swallowed the “junior employee” buck pass. That doesn’t work for health and safety violations in an accident investigation, but they seem to think its a perfectly valid in this case.
