Islamic State sets sights on exanding to Canberra

ISLAMIC State is expanding its support base in Australia, with plans to broaden its network to the nation’s capital.

The Herald Sun can reveal that police are investigating claims a senior IS figure has told followers to expect ­activity in the ACT.

The figure indicated IS was aware the group’s work in Melbourne had been reined in by police and that other locations were now on its radar.
