Ontario Ombudsman blasts Bill Blair over G20 remarks

When The Rebel’s Brian Lilley asked Bill Blair and Justin Trudeau about Toronto police behaviour during the G20, they answered straight up — but the reaction online was shocking.

Ontario’s Ombudsman Andre Marin proceeded to blast Blair on Twitter.

I don’t mind him being attacked from the (far) left as well as from the right.

It is insane to accept a senior public official to weigh in on a political campaign! Marin also did this during the last Sudbury municipal to help defeat the incumbent mayor.

No matter what we think about Blair, Justin or any political party, this is unethical. Whether it is Blair or a painted red stick runs for the Libs, both will have to face public scrutiny via an election by voters=check/balance. Marin is NOT an elected official. Non elected public servants who: have power, can sway the public and do not have to ANSWER to the public via an election CANNOT interfere in the political process=check/balance.

Marin has long dismissed any such ethical application to himself, his fallback is he is doing what he is doing for our own good. Every dictator starts by making such claims. He has and continues to compare himself to elected MPPs:

Any other public servant would be let go over this, Marin is NOT above the rules…or maybe he is, as the only place to complain about him appears to be…the Ontario Ombudsman’s office!

    • For all that he raised a valid point, Blair lied.

What you really mean is how dare he do to Blair what Blair’s been doing in the public for years. BTW, did we ever see any charges against Ford go to court after all of the leaked documents which can be linked directly to Blair? Yeah, I didn’t think so.

As I said before, Bill Blair is a good fit for Trudeau’s Fascist Party.
