How Long Does America Have?

As Baltimore burned, the rest of us tweeted.

The riots followed a weekend in which GoFundMe shut down a fundraising page for a Christian-owned bakery that was hit with a huge fine for refusing to serve a gay wedding. GoFundMe has said its policy precludes raising money “in defense of formal charges of heinous crimes, including violent, hateful, or sexual acts.” The key word here is “hateful”: if you can expand or contract that word at will—which many people in this country can and do—you can accomplish anything.

But everyone is excited in Ontario that Elton John’s husband, partner or whatever is going to head the pride parade in Toronto. And of course the cbc wants to know if Harper is homophobic as it showed a segment where a lesbian in Toronto isn’t happy that her partner didn’t receive immediate help in Nepal.

That ship sailed a decade+ ago. We’re into state suppression of anything other than pride.

I feel that America does not have too long to fix its situation economically. Even back in 2008, some commentators on Fox News which I profoundly disagree with suggested that the US will go into hyperinflation. The money printing, the wars, the debt are all going to be reasons for that. Of course it is difficult to know how long the US has. Don’t forget that during the financial crisis the US lost millions of jobs to where well they were to the rising nations namely China, India and nations in Southeast Asia. But to suggest that Baltimore is a situation which will lead to the fall of America I don’t think so.

    • It’s a symptom of decline but the US economy is resilient, as are its people. If they can survive their political parties and elect someone less harmful than Obama they will do alright.

      • I agree. The US people and economy are quite resilient.

But what we don’t need now is more of the same liberal, PC, business hating, multi-culti, Balkanization that has gotten us in the mess we are in.

If the same collective mindset that voted in Obama prevails at the 2016 election, the tipping point will get all too close.

Up to Baltimore the riots have been bad and we could all say the punks need to be charged but the Baltimore riots have taken it to a whole new level one black punk said he wants the city to burn down now what does that say about the mind set of these people.

  • Uncle_Waspy

Did you catch what the mayor of Baltimore said recently about giving the rioters protesters “space to destroy”?

I think another US civil war is in the cards at this rate.
