Texas BBQ tour between Forth Worth and Midland

Ezra Levant reports for TheRebel.media:

This isn’t “grilling” like we do up in Canada in our backyards. This is real BBQ, Texas style: Meat smoked for hours over hickory or pecan wood, and traditional sides like mac & cheese, corn cobs, beans, cole slaw.

No tofu or kale for miles!

    Hmm, good BBQ deserves beer.

After the third one they all taste the same.

  • The Goat

    Looks better than my dinner.

Ezra should arrange a road trip to Texas some time. Some of us might want to go too!

As with bacon, my doctor would be alarmed if I chowed down on something high in salt and cholesterol. When you are getting old, you often have to give up some of the food you love unless you want to die early with a big smile on your face.

  • I feel humbled just watching this.

    Our grilling pales in comparison.

‘Smokin’ George’ will be producing Monday’s supper. But salmon is best broiled over an alder fire/smoke.

  • Blacksmith

Thats ‘corn on the cob’ Corn cobs are fed to the cattle or ground and turnied onto polishing media. 😉
