Asshat Miliband: Labour Would Outlaw Islamophobia

Ed Miliband has pledged to make Islamophobia a criminal offence in the UK if he becomes Prime Minister.

In an interview with the Muslim News website, Miliband said a Labour government would make Islamophobia an “aggravated crime”.

“We are going to make sure it is marked on people’s records with the police to make sure they root out Islamophobia as a hate crime,” he said, adding: “We are going to change the law on this so we make it absolutely clear of our abhorrence of hate crime and Islamophobia. It will be the first time that the police will record Islamophobic attacks right across the country.”

The Labour leader also pledged that a future Labour government would recognise a Palestinian State, saying he would have supported recognition at last year’s UN vote.

Turn the Pander gun to “kill”.

Ed really is the only English pol who could make Cameron look attractive.

    • He is a blight.

      • Why do you insult blights?

        • dance…dancetotheradio

          He’s not even English.

          • Because he’s Jewish? Not religiously, but still Jewish?

No, I have to disagree with you there. He’s English enough. That’s the problem. England is a cesspool.

          • dance…dancetotheradio

            No, I like Jews.
Some of my best friends aren’t Jews.
His parents came from Poland and Belgium.
            Marxists are not English.

          • There are English Marxists.

          • canminuteman

Unless his dad’s, dad’s, dad’s, dad’s dad’s dad’s is English, he’s not English. By your reckoning, all those muslims, and there are millions of them who are born in England are English. They are not. Would you consider me an arab if my parents had emigrated to Saudi Arabia and I had been born there? I know a lady(who is dead now) who was born in Ethiopia to English parents. I know that neither you nor anyone else would ever call her Ethiopian. This is no different. The English are a race and culture. Being born in their geographic locality, does not make you a member of their tribe.

          • My father was from Yorkshire, my mothers’ parents from Ukraine. I was born in England. Am I English? Ethnically?

“English” does not equal “Arab”. Arab is a huge language group, barely an ethnic category. “English” means sort of Germanic in descent, and of course “English” is a culture, but the idea that it’s a solid racial identity is absurd. I am in favour of pretty much zero further immigration into the British Isles by the way.

Look, it’s not as if this question comes out of thin air for me. http://www.blazingcatfur.ca/2015/03/26/britons-still-live-in-anglo-saxon-tribal-kingdoms-oxford-university-finds/

I know some English Jews. You, I suspect, do not. Whatever they are they are very English Indeed.

          • canminuteman

Given your background, I would call you half English. I know several people who are Jewish and from England, they are decent people. Would I consider them English? Not really. They might have several generations in England, but you know they are really from somewhere else.
If you said that my example doesn’t count because arab is a huge language group, rather than an ethnic category, what if I substituted an ethnic category. If my parent went to South Africa, and I was born there, would it make me a Zulu? Sounds ridiculous doesn’t it? If I had South African roots going back 500 years, still no one would consider me Zulu, but with people of European descent there seems to be a different standard.

To add, to the above post. Miliband senior is on the record as hating the people who gave him refuge from the Nazis. Miliband junior gives every indication of hating them just as much.

          • The Zulus are a tribal group. Quite distinct from the Bantu. No, being born at some geographic location could not possibly make one a Zulu, but the question is silly. The Zulu have very specific and involved customs and markers of relatedness and identity. Do you have any idea how tribal systems operate? Anthropologically it is ridiculous to equate them to the English.

Look, I get what you’re saying. In a way you’re preaching to the choir. I think Enoch was right (God help me I do). But the English (or the Scots or etc.) are not a closed cultural and genetic group the way the Zulu are. Jews whose families have been in Britain for several generations are British.

How about all the descendants of the Irish in England (that would include ex-EDL leader Tommy Robinson, i.e. Stephen Lennon, for example)? Is there some point where they become English? Some length of time? Some sufficient dilution of the blood?

Anyone will tell you that the geordies (Newcastle-upon-Tyne) speak a dialect more comprehensible to Scandinavians that to normal people. Are they English?

          • canminuteman

Your comments about Jews are interesting because, because some people consider Jewishness a religion, some consider it an ethnic identity. If the Jews in England had not spent the last 500 years intermarrying with their own group, there would no longer be jews in England, but they have. Jews have always done this (until very recently anyway), this is what makes them a separate ethnic group from their host community.

You state “The Zulu have very specific and involved customs and markers of relatedness and identity”, don’t you think the various European “tribes” do to? The customs and markers of relatedness are what defines what a culture is, and since the English are a culture, they must have these.
I recognize that there are many regional variations in England. These exist as a result of history going back a thousand years. My mother told me about moving from Manchester to Birmingham as a child a feeling like a total stranger when she got there and not being able to understand the local dialect, a distance of about fifty miles, Every country in Europe is like this. Since my wife was born in Canada to two German parents who have Bavarian lineage going back to time immemorial, I have learned that Bavarians speak a variety of German that is as different from Prussian German as Lancashire English is from Yorkshire English. All of Germany is like this. France is like this. Norman French are a different people from Provencal French.
None of this means that strangers can wash up on your shore and claim your identity. It’s the ultimate in cultural appropriation.
If people come from somewhere else and go out of their way to conform with the local culture, they will eventually become part of the host culture, I get that. But now the mass migration of peoples from all over the world is happening in such huge numbers , and from people who are totally alien to the host culture, don’t like the host culture and have no intention of assimilating with the host culture that it is going to end very badly. When one kid in the class at school is from Pakistan, he’ll try and assimilate, when the entire school is from Pakistan, what do you think the odds are that these people will assimilate? There will be either massive bloodshed on a level not seen since the 30 Years War, and/or European cultures will just die off. The great cathedrals of Europe will be turned into mosques and it will be our people getting their heads hacked off, (more so than has actually already happened) A best case scenario, is that we are reduced to the level of the North American Indians, where we live on reservations in a sea of strangers
Sorry about the rant. After a while I couldn’t remember where I was going with this.

Multi-ethnic works fine… multi-cultural notsomuch. See 500 years of the Austro-Hungarian Empire for most recent example. But that was before mass immigration and before people forgot who they were and what was important.

Thought police? He’s being ridiculous, calling a phobia a crime.
There’s already a law on the books that enables certain crimes to be treated as religiously aggravated for the purpose of sentencing if hatred of a religious group is proven as a motive.
Is he talking about bringing in an ersatz blasphemy law?

Are your from Saskatchewan perchance? Know a road in British Columbia that – back in the day – was somewhat notorious, as it took two hours to travel 40 miles and that included up two mountains and down into the valley between. Local legend had it one Saskatchewanite got part way up, stopped cold, and waited for a local to drive his car back to civilization.

        • dance…dancetotheradio

I lived in Saskatoon for four years.
          Grew up in Manitoba.
People said Saskatchewan was so flat.
          It’s not.
If you drive to Regina and take Hwy 11 to Saskatoon you’ll have to pass through Lumsden which is a deep valley.
          White knuckle.
Also if you take the Yellowhead Highway you have to pass through the Assiniboine River valley.
The first time I took it was at three in the morning.
You can’t see the bottom on the way down.
And you can’t see the top on the way back up.

Thanks for this post. A real eye-opener as to how evil this man truly is. He truly does want to destroy Britain. One can only hope and pray he is soundly defeated in the upcoming election.

Ed Miliband is without doubt a complete wanker. His father was a Marxist who supposedly hated Britain. Better yet his number one sidekick is called Balls!
It was Miliband and Balls who stood just behind Gordon Brown as he ran the UK into the fiscal buffers. It is what socialists do every time they get into power. The UK has the strongest growing economy in the western world right now and this penis-brain will destroy all that. What a complete arse-hole.
