The Sham Candidacy of Hillary Clinton β€” and What It Means for the Republic

The only reason an HRC candidacy is even plausible is the influence of the legacy media, which has simply declared, by fiat, her suitability and her inevitability.

        I’d rather a good Conservative whore any day… πŸ˜‰

Off topic but I wanted to share some good news!

It is being reported that a boat with up to 700 Muslim invaders from Libya has capsized!

    • mauser 98

that many cross US/Mex border weekly

    • tom_billesley

There’d been 400 deaths reported out of 10,000 invaders crossing the Mediterranean. The 4% death rate wasn’t enough to deter them.

  • Ho Hum

Hillary just laughs when asked why the US supports Al Qaeda in Libya and Syria

  • Barrington Minge

I just cannot think of anyone less suitable to president than this woman….except possibly Tony Bliar……

  • tom_billesley

Don’t you think she looks tired?
At least Harriet Jones had a redeeming feature – she had a way with invaders.

Legacy media? Those packets of folded paper one sometimes finds in boxes at street corners? Their little freebie offshoot rags that are distributed in the transit systems? Their websites, where readers are not permitted to comment on their incredible lies?

I worked in a “parallel” industry for most of my career, which meant that I got to spend a lot of “face time” with media interests. It also means I spent the first half of every day of my career uncovering and refuting the lies the media routinely publish. So I have not subscribed to a single “legacy media” organ since I BEGAN WORKING AS A PROFESSIONAL. And this DESPITE the fact that we have always kept both budgies and hamsters for our children’s pleasure and enjoyment.

The “legacy media” and their toxicity, lies, duplicity, bias etc. quite literally fuelled a career which has left me far more comfortable than I ever honestly expected to be. On the other hand, I have spent more time in courts as an “expert witness” than almost anybody I have known, and am on a first-name basis with an amazing number of lawyers, most of whom I can barely tolerate.

The “legacy media” abandoned journalism, research and objectivity TOTALLY around 1985, if memory serves. Until then, the legacy media had practiced a minimal modicum of said journalism for about 50 years. We have not enjoyed the benefits of genuine journalism-fed media in almost a century, with a few notable exceptions.

Sad sad sad – blind mice chasing cheese and pausing only to sue one another occasionally. That is what the “legacy media” have been up to for a hundred years.

Interesting that you should peg the date of the demise at 1985. Aside from the Globe & Mail ending its tradition of investigative reporting and not replacing it, 1985 suggests that the”pigeons-of-doing-away-with-provincial-standards” came home to roost.

      • Justin St.Denis

Yes, precisely. You must be my age, but that’s our little secret. πŸ˜‰

        • Waffle

And cursed with an unrelenting memory. BTW, the journalism school dean you referred to — JS??

JS? If you are referring to the dean’s initials, that was not them, so no, not JS. If it helps, initials implicated are J.O’B. and DM. That is all I can share in a forum such as this.

          • Waffle

J.S. was the only one I ever met. Unfortunately, never got to J-school back in the “dark ages” although that was my first choice. Long story.

The only reason Hillary’s candidacy is even plausible is because the Democrats have no viable alternative in the wake of Obama’s disasters.
