I love their goofy euphemisms for “killed by police action”.
    “The shooter has been neutralized.”
We all know what that means.
They need to find a new word such as “endeadened”, “rendered carbon neutral”, or even “decaffeinated”.
    Yes, decaffeinated is much better!
“The shooter was decaffeinated by Capitol Police” sounds so much cleaner.

    • He was Latte’d!

He now has a “frothy head”.

You have to be careful when you order the Latte’ with a double shot.

I noticed the same thing. Why not just say, he’s dead.

      • Waffle

I think they wiped that from the style guides a while ago. On TV, they usually say “passsed away”, like a peaceful slipping off into the great beyond no matter how violent the death.

My favorite use of that term was a carjacking gang member who “passed away” during a recent high speed shootout with the LAPD.

I should’ve read your post before writing. Good observation. I love the decaffeinated part.

      “terminate with extreme unction”.

I hope he was an Obama voter. Until I know for sure I can’t say if this event calls for an RIP or a ROTFL.

    • Drunk_by_Noon

      ROTFL in Peace?
