UK’s Labour leader says he would recognize Palestine at right moment

(Reuters) – The leader of Britain’s opposition Labour Party said on Friday he favored recognizing Palestine as a state if such a move would help bring about a broader peace deal in the Middle East.

Ed Miliband was asked by a reporter if Britain would recognize Palestine in the first year or two of his premiership, if Labour wins national elections on May 7.

Miliband said Labour backed a symbolic vote held last year in Britain’s parliament in favor of recognizing Palestine…

Hopefully some sort of alliance between UKIP and the Northern Irish DUP will save us. The rest of them are just the worst clowns you could imagine to run our country.

I am a 4th generation Canadian of forefathers from England, Scotland, and Ireland. My heart breaks to hear from you people who are suffering on your UK ship of fools… Canada is no longer a happy, secure place to live and is deteriorating into madness as well.

  • All he needs to know is the Koran says “kill the Jews”.

You don’t even have to be very smart to know that.

What kind of idiot is he.

What kind of idiot is he?
      A cultural Marx-diot.

      • Billy Bob Thornton

That statement cultural marxist is used by people that don’t even know what the difference between socialism and communism even is. They believe progressivism is communism or socialism when socialism means the workers owning the means of production and has a state and communism is when the state owns everything, the workers own the means of production and finally there is no state. Also, communism is when there is no money. So therefore, cultural marxism is just a statement which means nothing. Frankly, the more accurate word or set of words would be neoliberal left because all ideologies of the mainstream are neoliberal.

        • Billy Bob Thornton

The only ideologies which can be anti-globalist are socialism, communism or nationalism. Everything else supports the neoliberal and austerity model which does nothing and has proven since 2008 to increase debt and even RT has shown constantly that debt has increased substantially since 2008.

            I disagree.
            Only nationalism is anti-globalist.

“Palestine and Jordan are one…” said King Abdullah in 1948.
“The truth is that Jordan is Palestine and Palestine is Jordan,” said King Hussein of Jordan, in 1981.
“Palestine is Jordan and Jordan is Palestine; there is only one land, with one history and one and the same fate,” Prince Hassan of the Jordanian National Assembly was quoted as saying on February 2, 1970.
Accordingly, Abdul Hamid Sharif, Prime Minister of Jordan declared, in 1980, “The Palestinians and Jordanians do not belong to different nationalities. They hold the same Jordanian passports, are Arabs and have the same Jordanian culture.”
“There should be a kind of linkage because Jordanians and Palestinians are considered by the PLO as one people,”according to Farouk Kaddoumi, then head of the PLO Political Department, who gave the statement to Newsweek on March 14, 1977. Distinguished Arab-American Princeton University historian Philip Hitti testified before the Anglo-American Committee, “There is no such thing as ‘Palestine’ in history.”
    * Approximately half of Jordan’s prime ministers since 1950 have been Arab ‘Palestinians’.
    * More than 2/3 of the Jordanian people are Arab ‘Palestinians’.
    * The majority of citizens residing in the capital of Amman are Arab ‘Palestinians’.
    * Arab ‘Palestinians’ constitute not less than one half of the members of the armed forces, according to the late King Hussein, as broadcast on Amman Radio February 3, 1973.
    * The majority of other security forces are Arab ‘Palestinians’.
    * Jordan occupies 77% of the original Palestine Mandate (originally promised to the Jewish people). The population density of Jordan is less than 61 people per square mile leaving lots of room to absorb many more of their brethren and cousins.

Since a broader peace deal in the Middle East is highly unlikely, we can rest easy about Miliband’s fumbling diplomacy.
