Ontario’s deficit 68% higher than the combined deficits of Ottawa, the other nine provinces, and three territories

When Ontario Finance Minister Charles Sousa boasted last week about reducing the Liberals’ projected $12.5 billion deficit for 2014-2015 to $10.9 billion, he forgot to mention one important thing.

That is that at $10.9 billion, Premier Kathleen Wynne’s deficit is 68% higher than the combined deficits for 2014-2015 of the federal government, the other nine provinces and the three territories. Yes, you read that right.

The combined federal, provincial and territorial deficits for 2014-2015 add up to $6.47 billion, compared to Ontario’s $10.9 billion.

interest rate on bonds will have to go up. Wynne musical chairs will stop

    • I wonder how many people voted for her because she was a dyke? Lots voted for Obama simply because he was black.

…most stay home. here and Republicans in the US

white people put Barry in the White Hut

      • Progressive Liberal

People didn’t vote for somebody because of their gender identity or color of their skin.

People voted because they didn’t want to be publicly outed as a homophobe or racist if how they didn’t vote came out.

      • Cheryl

That is a very good question and I wish somebody could answer it. Canada has become the land of the homosexuals. It seems they are out numbering the heterosexuals and that is a shame.

  • Ron MacDonald

I think it is time Ontario gets divided into several provinces, most of the Liberal support is in the GTA, let them go down the tube while the new provinces prosper.

      A wise plan, methinks…

    • I would take a long hard look at all the major urban centres, most have high a population of Public service union members. They control the province.

An Urban rural divide would be more practical.

      • Ron MacDonald

As long as the divide is in favour of the Conservatives.

Is there any chance that the Feds will step in, put the thieves in jail and put Ontario on administrative oversight? (Sigh. . .)

    • Stronger than Dirt

Snowball’s chance in hell comes to mind.

      • Waffle

Well then, that sure puts a monkey-wrench into the federal budget.

        • Stronger than Dirt

I’m wondering when the other provinces are going to wise up and treat this ‘Owe’ntario provincial guberment like they deserve.

          • mauser 98

Wynne will squeal “racist, bigot ,homophobe” etc

          • Stronger than Dirt

‘F’ Wynne … on second thought, let’s not be rash.

Word to the wise, flee libranotario while the getting is good.

  • barryjr

This is what will happen to Canada if Harper doesn’t form the next federal government.

  • David Murrell

Yes, but the corrupt Kathleen Wynne has the Star, CBC and CTV News, and the Globe and Mail are all on the Ontario Liberal party payroll. The media-cartel members care not one whit about the Ontario deficit. So, nobody cares.

  • Gary

Only a liberal would rush forward to take the credit for a disaster.

  • Frances

shouldn’t that read a “veggie grooming school curriculum”?

  • simus1

The GLLKDW crowd must be expecting Emperor Barry’s machinations to set the stage for USA hyperinflation and financial collapse in the not too distant future. They must also get their ducks in a row to pay off everyone with worthless paper and then ride high.
