Jean Wabafiyebazu killed in drug deal

Teen son of Canadian Consul General arrested after brother, Jean Wabafiyebazu killed in drug deal

Authorities have arrested the 15-year-old son of the Canadian Consul General in Miami after they say he was involved in a marijuana deal that ended in gunfire and claimed the life of his older brother and another man.

Police believe Marc Wabafiyebazu and his 17-year-old brother Jean Wabafiyebazu — both armed with guns —planned to rob the drug dealers on Monday afternoon at a home in the Coral Way area.

In the gunfire, Jean was shot and killed inside the home. One of the suspected drug dealers, Joshua Wright, was also killed. A third man, Anthony Rodriguez, was wounded and drove off — he was later found at a nearby gas station.

“That’s what we believe, it was a a dispute over a drug transaction,” Miami Police Chief Rodolfo Llanes told the Miami Herald.

Seems like an innocent rapper just getting his life back in order. The kind of great new Canadian that Turdeau Senior couldn’t wait to import.

        • My bad, how do kids from an obviously pampered upbringing end up like that?

We might assume that In this case the usual rule followed by Canadian diplomats, “All aid short of any useful form of help”, for Canadians in foreign country jackpots could be modified somewhat.

    • You know that is an interesting question. But its Racist!

      • simus1

        No! No!
Saying anyone who spent three years as Canadian ambassador to Zimbabwe/Angola/Mozambique should have been capable of handling almost anything under the sun after that would be racist.

The media cartel will be making all sorts of hay about this. Here is one posted bio of Roxanne Debe (the Canadian consul general in question):

and she essentially was a foreign affairs thingy, working as a staff assistant within the 1990s Liberal government, but working up the foreign service ladder. She moved up the ladder, though, through appointments by the Harper government. There ought not to be political implications over this. A couple of bad boys doing drugs. The CBC News story says that Dube only arrived in Miami this past February with her two sons, so the klutzy teens didn’t take all that long to mess things up. Eh?

    • It would suggest that Miami culture corrupted them on arrival, whereas they had never been exposed to such criminal lowlifes before!

15 year old robbing drug dealers. He’ll be a big hit in prison down there.

    • No Canadian media is reporting their names, I went straight to the Herald.

Must be part of a protected group.

        • Yea it’s called the Media and Political class circling the wagons to protect their own.

Although I see names are being reported now, as lets face it they were all over the web.

After reviewing the Florida Statutes, the surviving 15 year old is facing the felony murder law. Due to his age, upon conviction of that offense he would face either life in prison, or 40 years in prison. If I was offering advice to the State of Florida, I would ask them to resist any attempt to repatriate back to Canada any Canadian convicted for the deaths in this crime. We don’t want them, we don’t need them. As for advice given to the government of Canada, don’t even ask Florida to return him, just don’t.

    • They will, Canada will consider him a minor and being as well connected as he is well, you know he will be back home in a flash.

        Welcome Back Khadr!

  • A shoot out over marijuana?

In Colorado and Washington you can just go to the store and pick up couple grams. No one needs a gun.

I’m not so sure the Florida system is working properly.

    • Aww but this was an alleged robbery gone wrong, much more street cred is accorded aspiring rappers by engaging in such endeavours.
